If a guy and a girl get trapped together for a while in either an inescapable situation or an emergency situation, do they grow to like each other?

  • Not neccesarily in a romantic way. But it's possible that close proximity will give them a deeper understanding of one another and some respect, even if they don't necessarily like each other.

    • Thanks for the MHO

    • You are welcome :)

  • Doesn't need to be such a dramatic situation. Stick people together long enough and they'll often grow on each other. It's often why you'll see ugly guys with hot woman

    • @purplepoppy But not ugly women with Hot guys?

    • So the key is to keep her cornered or limit her options? 😂

What Girls & Guys Said

  • No, you can be closer like friends, end up hating each other and maybe also liking each other (by the way is not necessary that they are a girl and a guy, it can happen to two girls, two guys...)

  • You might form a bond.. not necessarily like each other.

  • I think you just described a day job... trapped and inescapable. In my experience, people who don't get along rarely change and can warm up, or at least show respect for the other. I have seen relationships deteriorate in extreme situations. It depends on the people involved, but I think Hollywood knows that a story of antagonistic, star-crossed lovers sells their attempts at cinematography.

  • I disliked the Aeronauts.

I think that's only the case if they would be attracted to one another in a non-survival situation. Being stuck together might accelerate things. Otherwise, no, I don't think so.

  • They try to survive. Romantic attraction seems like a lower priority

  • Yeah, or at least lust develops

  • Depending on the time frame they could grow to be dependent on eachother and then eventually associate that with love

  • Possibly, they could bond over the experience. They are forced to rely on each other as well. You have no choice and unless he's a murderer or rapist or has a severe mental illness I think it will be easy to get along. Those situations can make you become friends with people you wouldn't dream of, from all walks of different life. It can work

  • Yes, I would grow to like her or get a crush on her

  • Those are two very different situations.

I'm an emergency it depends. If one person shows little to no interest in helping or the other person's welfare and just their own, no. If they are agreeable and helpful and selfless, I would think so.

With an inascapable situation I would think they would have a greater chance of ending up liking each other. Again, if you have two decent people. They would most likely hate each other too. If someone didn't realize and we're not completely grateful forthe significance of having another person, of the opposite sex, instead of being alone. They just don't get it.

  • Maybe depends on the time frame
Some scenarios would end sexually, others friendly and some quite possibly cannibalistic

  • Maybe lust, but unlikely.

  • Maybe depends on the person

  • they do in the movies

  • I hope so. 😂

  • the right time to be in the right place

  • Depending on how desperate they get. Some of them may hate each other guts for the entire time.
