as possible. Humans cannot shake their biological heritage.
Human evolution has encouraged the development of social values
which reward the biological goals of men and women. A man who mates
with many women is achieving his biological goal. Bragging about sexual exploits reflects the difficulty of meeting the high standards of a selective female.
Deriding promiscuous women is a condemnation of their failure to
practice biological selectivity.
I don't see slut shaming. Fundamental mammalian biology says that because the females have so much more skin in the game, they have more to lose to a bad choice. Therefore the system evolved into males compete, females choose. Men are pursuers. Not always fair but it's basic biology.

I think it's a leftover product of an earlier era, because I can tell you from a male perspective that the whole hooking up thing isn't actually happening very often. The implication of what I'm saying, being that young men aren't acting on it, even if there is an actual nonchalance to promiscuity for young men. The younger Millennials, like myself, have far less sex than even the older Millennials, and studies show that the trend is continuing to younger people than us.

Cause guys have to work for it, its so difficult that when they finally get it in they're seen as champions who won a prize (sex). Here’s the deal...
women generally pick and choose when and with whom they have sex, therefore there is an expectation of standards, dignity, etc.
Males do not generally have this option and therefore when a male can get sex from a girl it is expected that he take it.
