I don't mean like one time, I mean a consistent pattern of not much foreplay, or zero foreplay. What are you thinking about in general regarding sex or your relationship or whatever? What do you think about why he isn't doing more foreplay?

I think it can for sure depend on the situation.. maybe you both are super in the mood and it goes quickly.. but in my experience, men don't "need" as much foreplay as women. Keep in mind if the woman is not at the level of being turned on or wet enough, it won't be as enjoyable or maybe will be painful.
When I have been with guys that took time for foreplay and did not rush- it was fun, we became more connected, comfortable and in the mood. Sex is so much more fun and exciting when you want it soo bad, instead of just getting it done.
The guys I have been with that don't care about foreplay have tended to seem selfish. They just want their dick sucked and their pants down in 3 seconds and it just almost seems immature to me. I think foreplay should be good and fun for both, it may just take time to get there. Not saying this is all guys or every situation, just my thoughts and experience.

Foreplay is part of the fun and buildup to sex. If I'm not turned on, it doesn't do a thing for me. So if he doesn't want to, I lose interest in him

There's no such thing as "using someone for sex." You don't need to have romantic interest in someone to have sex that is mutually beneficial and satisfying.

I have to disagree with you there. I cannot have sex with someone I'm not interested in because it doesn't do a thing for me. It has no fulfillment for me. Now I'm sure others may disagree with me, but that's just based on my experience. If I'm interested in the guy, the sex doesn't satisfy me at all.

That's fine, but you're conflating issues-- there is no such thing as "using someone for sex," outside of raping someone. If it's sex, not rape, there is no "using" going on. If you need an emotional connection to enjoy sex that's fine, but that has nothing to do with anyone being used.
