  • If people are in a public area, there is no (legal jargon) "expectation of privacy". You can take pictures of beautiful butts, bicycles, broken bricks, Brooklyn batons, and even things that do NOT start with the letter "B". That's the legal part of the question - - - - -

But since this is (I hope) a civilized society, there is a tacitly expected moral component too. It just isn't really that cool to be clicking your shutter at things that might label you as a perv. Granted, the picture above is NOT showing the guy "at a distance", and is more for hyperbole (of the example) , but maybe it would be better if we just took nice little pictures of lakes and trees, and the kid's soccer practice (once it starts up again, that is).

  • In most places, there is the 'no expectation of privacy' rule and you can just take pictures of most anything, anywhere! However, there are some restrictions, like using 'sneaky' cameras and taking pictures of women, under their dresses or skirts!! That is just perverted, and nasty, but also illegal, in most places!!
Just taking pictures of people in public is almost always totally legal, and if you feel like focusing on women's bottoms, then that is your joy, and not much, legally that most places can do to stop you!
You might get shamed by some, and scolded, for being a bit of a Perv, or Creep, though!!

  • Uh no. That's creepy af. If I went onto facebook and saw a picture of my ass as the focus, I would wanna punch whoever did it.

  • Omg! Perv alert! Couldn't be any more trashy than that!!!

  • Not at all. Super creep move

  • It is not illegal to take a picture of anyone as long as you are not photographing some part of them that is not actually being displayed to the public (up their skirt or down their blouse.) But you will certainly draw attention to yourself as a perv. How would you feel if a woman was zooming in on your crotch to take a picture?

Having the legal right to do something does not mean that it is the right thing to do. Be a good person and don't do it.

  • No, this is not okay. If feeling the need to see butts, it would be better to just look at some online instead of trying to get pictures in person.

  • Well, obviously if she did not want you to do that, she would wrap herself up in something that hides he butt. {sarcasm}.

  • No, that's creepy.

  • Oh it's fine 🌚 but it's just not okay

  • as long as they dont know

  • Don’t ever let them see you or you’ll get beat up by an angry mob of women

    • Someone's fetish right here

    • Haha 🤣

  • Well I am a photographer so it would ultimately come under a candid photo. However if the woman came up to you and asked you to stop doing it or delete the photo then it would be legally wrong. It's the same with how paps get away with taking upskirt, or topless beach photos. I do not agree with it as I prefer to get concent but your free to take a photo of anyone in a public. However if it was on private land then that is illegal.

  • Um... (Looking around for recording devices)... Let's go with... NO 😂

I would like to hear a defence for this though, this would be very entertaining, bad but entertaining 😊

  • Its fine

  • No it's never ohky , Perverts do that

    • If that's true who do you think takes all the pictures on GAG that show's women's asses?

  • Just be discreet.

  • Nope. A word of advice, never do anything you wouldn't want a stranger doing to your sister.

  • No, its not

  • Wtf is wrong with you dude? Imagine if a gay dude was taking pics of your crotch at a distance. Would you feel thats a bit violating you? Yeah, it's prettydamn not okay

  • It's never ok to be a creep.

  • Eww... I'm a dude and probably more comfortable with being naked than most people, and that made the hair on the back of my neck stand up a little..

  • It is fine only if women agrees

  • A judge would say its sexual harassment...

    • @damnsam Sadly, actually, in most places in the US, there is what is called "No Expectation of Privacy" in public places, and people can take pictures of anything they like, hence the video of George Floyd being murdered!! With that premise, you can take pictures, in PUBLIC PLACES, without their 'permission' and if you are a perv, or creepy, take pictures of women in whatever they choose to wear in public! There are some laws, in some jurisdictions, that make it ILLEGAL, to take pictures, secretly, and purposely, under dresses or skirts! But only Pervs and Creeps would do that!

    • Yes if you are taking pictures from like empire state building, there will be other people on the pic... but its a big difference between that and just taking pics of women butts, which is what you specific asked...

    • @damnsam The poster, taking the picture, as he posted, would be TOTALLY LEGAL, in most every place that I know of! Those women are in a public place, and they are not showing any 'intimate' and personal body parts, being completely covered! It doesn't matter that they approve, or consent, or even KNOW!!
