It is said that up to 87% of girls on the street are sex slaves to pimps? Why do people trash the girls and say nothing about the pimps?

Do prostitutes lives matter?

Most prostitutes are run away girls from broken and abusive homes and foster homes, but many every day next door neighbor girls are also tricked into prostitution and stuck in a horrible life before they even realize what is happening to them?

Is there no one that cares about these girls except to call them sluts, hoes, harlots and whores?

If your daughter was forced into prostitution, is that what you would want done to her? ... not for her to be rescued?

Most people don't know that these young girls have to meet financial quota's every day which many times requires them to pull up to 20 tricks a day and if they come in without the minimum amount of money they can be beaten, or worse, by these pimps!

Should there be no attempt to arrest these filthy low life scum that force these girls into sex slavery?

A. People trash them because it is the girls that are visible and most people don't even know about the pimps who force, threaten and use manipulation on the girls

  • I guess the only reason the Pimp doesn’t get shamed on as much as the girl is because the pimp is just making money and is setting up the customers for the girl, The girl is degraded more because she is the one that is degrading herself allowing strange guys to have sex with her for money. So she is considered dirty cuz who knows what STD’s she is picking up from screwing all these strange men? So she is considered a whore. Most guys are turned off by a girl that has sex with a bunch of guys. If a guy likes a girl because she is beautiful the last thing he wants to think about is her getting plowed by a bunch of men, Most guys are very territorial when it comes to being with a girl in a relationship. So a girl that sells her body for money most guys will not be attracted to that he will just look at her as a whore. Girls are better off keeping there sex life private and to themselves unless she is a famous porn star but even female porn stars get shamed on as well , they might look sexy and turn a guy on but the guy is mainly looking at her for sex nothing more , Most guys can’t handle the fact that a girl they fall for has had sex with other guys. Girls that are looking for a sugar daddy or selling themselves for sex are put in a different category The slut whore category. The chances of her ever getting into a so called normal relationship are very slim. I see beautiful girls on Snapchat that catch my interest the second they ask me to join their premium I start to lose interest ,.

    • Most girls will promote their premium by showing videos of themselves getting fucked by other guys thinking that’s going to lure a bunch of guys in , little does that girl know she is actually getting a bunch of guys to lose interest in her The only guys that she will lure in is guys that just look at her as a piece of ass. So me personally feels if a girl is trying to make money she is better off becoming a stripper and being a tease if she is desperate for money , if she is selling herself she will be labeled a whore

  • Prostitution and pimping are two very different things if often associated with one another.

See i believe prostitution should be made legal. Its the oldest profession and done between two concenting adults.(normally)

Pimping however especially the slavery kind is a crime like so many others and definitely deserve more attention then it's getting but the problem is it doesn't directly impact society and therefore isn't often looked at.
The system doesn't care about street women being forced into this stuff because they aren't exactly a majority and most have records do they aren't voters either.
That's why you'd see millions dumped into the war on drugs but very little done about this issue.

But I think by legalizing prostitution and making it within certain parameters of safety for both client and prostitute the pimps will automatically go out of business because it's too hard to compete with high class hookers that can advertise their services far and wide.

  • Human trafficking is a big problem here in the Houston area. Prostitution is a part of it. The girls are either runaways, on economic hard times (especially with the COVID19 shutting down businesses), or illegal immigrants. The latter are in a really abusive situation, being taken advantage of being stuck as soon as they arrive and having little experience with English.

  • Prostitution is more common than people realise. Street prostitutes are the bottom rung and most visible. They tend to frequent areas where the locals have a bad reputation anyway and this demonizes them even more. The discrete prostitute who works for herself from home with a limited number of clients goes unnoticed or is even accepted by the community.

  • As is typical, a lot of people who know very little about the issue blame the part they can see (the girls) and ignore the bigger, more serious problem.

But another, even less justifiable part of the problem is the ghetto values coming from Hiphop culture where pimps are heroes and role models because they have money and power - ignoring completely that they are essentially slave owners. Yet, plenty of young women listen to those songs and sing right along when pimps are depicted as turning girls out, getting them hooked on drugs, and demanding that the girls "make his money." Even mothers with daughters can be heard singing along and dancing, or are proud of their pimp sons if it means a new TV or car.

But middle class kids are the biggest consumers of hip-hop, and while they may not be so overt in their support of pimping, listening to it being talked up and praised constantly sure does normalize that despicable behavior.

    • Very astute observations - good stuff

    • very true and disturbing

  • Because people are idiots. That isn’t new.

  • Pimps are human traffickers. They should be locked up forever.

  • This is what most people miss in a conversation about decriminalizing sex work. The women are more often than not victims of human trafficking, abuse, and slavery. We should be concentrating instead on the pumps and those who traffic the girls on the supply side and the jons on the demand side. Both exploit these women for their own personal gain while the women fear for their lives should they try to say no.

    • Autocorrect doesn't like the word pimp apparently, but it's pretty obvious what I was trying to say.

  • I would suggest "A (1)" - People trash them because it is the girls that are visible and people think taking away the girls would then put a crimp in the pimp's income.

  • Sadly apparently not. Evne look at porn. Yeah women make more money than men but take much more risk even with testing as far as aids, pregnancy and such. many forget they are people to

yes pimps are often parasites. Now there are legal brothels and agents but they are far and in between and anyone trafficing women as sex slaves needs their balls cut off.

  • Because it is easier to blame the women. Many guys here are wannabe pimps. They want to be the ones getting all the glory. Why else would they come here and whine and moan about how they can't get any sex?

  • I think women need to be protected and not vilified.

I think people give themselves excuses by some overly bias version of what they call ethics to treat them like shit. They don’t see the human underneath these labels, who was born a child from a mother and a father. They don’t see the possible abuse that happened to these victims. All society sees is a label, prostitute... or “whore”. Not the series of tragic events that lead to there. But, again if you
Choose this as your choice, that should be alright too and not be condemned to horrible shrewd judgment.

First and foremost, legalized prostitution will not only stop the pimps, but also prevent trafficking and kidnapping even further.

But that being said also for public health safety, they would be regularly checked for STD.

We have to accept, it’s part of life anyways. And this way it prevents the adverse impact of illegal prostitution.

  • It's very sad to hear about this... What's even sadder is that it's happening right in the same state you live in. It's assumed it happens in other counties but I've heard it happening right in the same county... It's sad to hear

    • Yes, it's all over now sadly :(

  • Dirty slaves are dirty slaves, many talents and tricks but master of none. Respect and decency is only shown to the person in charge because they either think alike or they aspire to be in the other’s position. If you remove blame and shame from the pimp, you’re just as crooked and predatory. Vomit meets vomit.

  • Because they’re the ones selling their bodies

  • Yes 100% Pimps are plague and basically cause all the problems tbh. It should be fully legal and not need pimps. And girls can choose who they would allow to pay them cause it becomes a respectable deal then.

I have no problem with people trading stuff for stuff it makes perfect sense. I have a problem with some dickhead trying to take that trade for themselves. Which is also what would happen if the government took over the industry tbh. But at least they would beat them up?

  • They should def be arrested and prostitutes shouldn't be judged

  • E. They need to legalize prostitution, and not into some over-regulated mess, but just legalize it and allow businesses to take initiative to put the street pimps out of business. Same with drugs, and every other thing that humans are going to do that bible-thumpers don't like. We create these criminals, their criminal enterprises, and their victims simply by forcing them to operate in the streets. This is where society just got it wrong - we can't stop people from being free to do what they want (that isn't directly harming others), and when we do, we create crime and criminal enterprises that do far more damage in the long-term.

  • These girls are forced into prostitution because nobody cares about them.

  • Pimps are outrageous and should be put in jail. But let me be very clear here. THere are many women out there that are on dating apps saying that they want a sugar daddy. I personally known a friend that wanted extra cash and had a few sugar daddies for a while. There are some girls who are desperate but will intentionally do it on purpose.

Guys, you see all the time on these dating apps ladies posting pictures and saying "only here for a sugar daddy".

  • I am on a social group for current and former sex workers. (I was in a few porn movies, as well as doing some stuff on stage) and every now and again someone comes on that site asking about this... And the overwhelming majority of people in the group state that this is simply not true. This is a large, international group with over 7000 members. It seems that this is more propaganda then lived experiences.

    • Are you saying majority work as call girls or prostitutes willingly, without coercion?

    • @Oram52 I'm saying that the individuals who I am in contact with dispute this assumption.

  • The government knows about the pimps, they just don't give a shit. "out of sight, out of mind". It's shameful really

  • Slut shaming is also a big problem I think, sex is still negative when women do it. So that stigma is attached, that it is something bad. So prostitutes are seen even more negatively. You can see where people have more open attitudes to sex prostitution has less of a stigma.

Authorities don't care or don't have enough resources to tackle it. Many don't even speak the language as they are trafficked from other countries.

Prostitution is still illegal, so there is no where for them to turn. If it was legalized and if they had legal protection maybe they would be more willing to seek help, more organizations would exist to help them.

But you are correct yes drug users are also seen negatively but ultimately its drug dealers that face wrath of the law. In same way pimps should also face full wrath of the law, and sentences should be severe.

Legalize prostitution its not going anywhere, it doesn't harm anyone else, its between two consenting adults. That way it'll be a lot easier to deal with this evil, and pimps get due justice.

    • very well said

  • I actually made a similar comment in regard to human trafficking between the drug and sex trade. I always thought it was odd that we merely prosecute the women arrested rather than figuring out an out for them and going up the sex trade chain and destroying it. I mean, these people kidnap these women and boys, drug them, threaten them with their families if they escape, then kill them if they do not ‘perform’. The whole world pretty much turns a blind eye to this craziness and even some in positions of wealth and power partake in this. That’s just the sex trade. The drug trade takes entire families and forces them into forced labor and security on pot farms and meth labs and so on. Then if a girl/woman is pretty or the boy... they get sold into the sex trade. The while world is pretty damn quiet about it all. Not even feminism nor movements like Black Lives Matter give a damn. Which is why I say ALL movements are disingenuous piles of shit. They just want to be part of the power. Fuck’em all.

    • In many countries like Canada and Australia iirc, the police actually arrest the pimps and don't prosecute the hookers if they suspect that human trafficking is going on (minors are automatically protected)
