It may make it smell nice if you could catch it in the first place, as most cats don't like water so cranberry juice is no better.
You could always put a little bit in their water bowl to get them used to it and then start bathing them in it too?
As for taste, you must a Cat Fisher, dunking cats into water, fishing for them and eating them afterwards. Marinating the skinned cat in cranberry juice prior to being cooked on the BBQ may not yield the tasty treat you're after.
Further to your update, don't assume your cat will like this or reap the benefits you mention. Talk to your cat first, he/she may agree but I very much doubt it! Then again try it, you could have the 1st cat video on YouTube with your cat being soaked in cranberry juice after which the audience sees you spitting out cat hair balls as you taste your cat, unusual yes, but if that's what you're into, then go for it. Like with anything in life, there must be a community out there already doing it. Just make yourself heard by mentioning you're Cat Curious and I'm sure others will come meowing to help you.

Probably, since I've read about drinking fruit juices making a difference for helping guys to smell/taste better. I see no reason that it wouldn't work for women also.
Also, cranberry juice is known for cleaning out the urinary tract, so it seems like that could help with freshness.
