Why some people want sexual activity without marriage?

I mean why is it alright for some guys and girls to want sexual activity without marriage? Wouldn't marriage secure their future together?

This is the norm now in this new generation. Its very rare to even meet couples who been married for life, and they still have that spark in them since from the beginning of their relationship. Now in this new generation, a lot of people have gotten greedy, have high of expectations, they are players, sometimes its one working harder on the relationship than the other, and most people now they find it hard to be committed to one person only. Usually some individuals have gotten negative reviews from their family or friends or media celebrities of couples who cheated on their spouses, or ended their marriage bc one didn't want to work on their relationship so the other gave up, and once they are broken up, its expensive to get married in the first place, but then marriage gets even expensive as you have assets and children if any how to share them, and its a lot to go through... so now there's more relationships that couples just dont have the desire to be with one person but just play the fields and if they are just dating there's no strings attached and there's nothing that you loose or gain from that person if the relationship doesn't last. Some couple do end up living with each other but never married bc if anything happens they dont have to go through all the bs of getting a divorce that requiers so much paper work to file. I personally want to be married, i love the idea of being a wife, and knowing that being married would have our challenges but to work on them together, and loving my husband for him... and looking after him and supporting him. Not afraid of commitment and being with the one and only love of my life. Thats just me.

My girlfriend's sister got divorced after having 4 kids (6-12 ages). When she got remarried she just went to a courthouse and didn't even have a ceremony.

Theyre impatient and believe in the trying before buying bullshit. They better hope they dont try and end up catching some disease. In theory, sure- but look at how high divorce rates are in most of the world. A lot of people don't take marriage seriously these days; they see it as standing up before a preacher (or secular equivalent) and saying some words while dressed in fancy, uncomfortable clothes. If it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out.

Those of us who take it seriously, whether from religion, personal honor, or whatever other reason (or reasons) realize that sexual incompatibility is a real thing, and it'd be awful to be stuck in a marriage where that's a problem; far better to know whether it's going to work out before going in.
