  @DonCachondo yeah but in the end of the day, you paid for affection and i think that will wreck you a bit, even if you have this explanation that it was just an economic exchange at all. human emotion and ego doesn't work with that logic usually. like your sexual market-value is so low that you need to compensate with money. i think that what would happen if i did this. i know you're not me and you will of course say it's different for you, i know. still.

  Or your preferences are higher than your SMV. Say you're an average or somewhat above average guy who has very specific tastes and would probably aim higher than he can realistically expect from a one night stand. It doesn't mean he's unattractive to a sizable portion of women out there. It simply means he's not attractive *enough* to bargain for what he would like based on his SMV alone. And, you know, there's also the universal handicap going in favor of women when it comes to casual sex because most women value long-term relationships over hookups and many only make exceptions for really hot guys who do all the work for them. If an ONS is your goal to begin with, the game is rigged against you simply for being a man. So why put up with it, or worse, let it dominate your self esteem?

  Lots of white makeup. Bleached hair and trying to fake an accent. It literally almost drove me crazy trying to keep it up. I had to eat so much Herring. I still hate the smell and taste of fish today.
