Does smoking marijuana enhance a sexual encounter or inhibit it?

I don't use any substances, but I have girlfriends that have legal permits to use it and say that they love having sex during the effects of it. I'll just have to take their word for it, but I would also like to get yours.

I was reading that a sex lube has been created out of it that is supposed to be a super enhancement for sexual encounters. Would that be the same as smoking it? Can it really be absorbed into the blood stream that way so quickly?

What is your take on having sex while using marijuana? ... do you do it?

I am convinced that the late great Tom Petty's song "Mary Jane's Last Dance" was also about Marijuana for several reasons. First "Mary Jane" is a slang phrase for Marijuana.

He also says "Last dance with Mary Jane, one more time to Kill The Pain." Isn't marijuana suppose to kill pain? ... what am I missing?

He goes on to talk about her standing in the hotel window in her underwear exposing herself in her lingerie while looking down on New York's Market Square. Now wouldn't that be more likely of a girl that was high on pot?

But wait! ... it doesn't stop there! ... then he says..."It was too cold to cry when I woke up alone, I HIT my last NUMBER, I walked to the road".

OK, a "HIT" is to take a puff and a "NUMBER" is also slang for a marijuana joint! ... am I the only one seeing this? ... is it me that is high on something? ... can I be that wrong about something that is so obvious? ... if I am, I will drift off into the night, never to bother you will this again... BUT YOU KNOW I'M NOT!

There are a few different strains of pot but I'll stay in the general info. area. Two of the main types of tetrahydrocabinal in pot. They are varying degrees in pot re both usually present but 1) Sativa and 2) Indica.

Marijuana that is high in the Sativa type usually react energetically, erotically, creatively. Sex after smoking Sativa is not enhanced as much as your conciousness in enhanced. It keeps you in the present which seems to enhance sensation. The second major type is Indica which is usually characterized by mellowness, and relaxation and probably isn't an aphrodisiac. The Sativa does. If you can't buy it someplace where you can tell which strains are predominant, you'd need to try it. Medical pot is almost always Indica

The only time I’ve been able to enjoy anal sex was when I was super high off of edibles and the sex felt amazing. That was my first time doing anal. Since I liked it so much I asked my boyfriend if we could do it again but when I was sober I didn’t enjoy it at all it was way too painful. So in my experience being high definitely made sex more fun.

Yes. Depending why you’re smoking to begin with, personally being “high” soothes all my pain. Mentally emotionally and physically. It doesn’t remove it, but it’s like my endorphins are on high alert and all I feel is happiness along with intense urges of sexual desires...


On side note, I make my own weed lube and it as effective as it says. It’s a different feeling, not a head or body high. More like your pussy gets high. It doesn’t need to be used with a partner. You can just dab some on your clit and be set for a while. It feels really good.

So firstly, I discourage anyone and everyone to not smoke weed. It’s horrible for your mental health and destroys it without realising.

Having said that, sex while high on weed has the be the most amazing, supernatural, heart pounding thing that exists. It slows everything right down and everything is absolutely amazing on it. I loved it.

What i didn’t love was the comedown after, the supernatural feeling being cancelled out by the comedown, and the fact that the more you did it the more your body got used to it and lost the effect.

Oh and also, you can’t enjoy sex without weed after a while.

I believe it inhibits it. Especially for people who dont smoke often, so they are overwhelmed by the feeling and can't enjoy sex. But for those that chain smoke it and they can't stay high for long and need to smoke it constantly, they probably would have sex under the influence since it wouldn't matter to be sober or high for them.
