I can understand why women would be curious about this. Guys are curious about women's bodies also.
For me, getting an erection feels good all by itself. In other words even if it's not being touched sexually or when I masturbate. It can get hard very fast and I can feel it expanding and getting bigger and that is a pleasurable feeling. And when it's fully hard it's especially sensitive to touch and of course that feels amazing. But unless it's an involuntary erection in a setting where that would be embarrassing, just getting an erection feels realy good.

The best I can describe it is that typically throughout the day, you're not aware of your penis any more than you are any other body part. When you pop a boner, there's this sudden hyper-awareness of your penis. It's like your dick got super-high.

Heh is this a serious question? If so, well, it depends on the situation. Sometimes it's just a random occurrence where it's there but easy to ignore. Though penis size may vary. My penis is far from large (about 6.5"L, 5.5"C) and I'd even consider it small (less than 7"), but even I feel like it takes control of my brain when it's erect.
