Your new partner hasn't heard of sex, what do you do?

You're someone's first real partner and they've lived a very sheltered life. Their parent's never had "the talk", no films with sex scenes were allowed on TV and they had a filter on their internet. We'll assume their school sex education got as far as genital difference but thanks to a bout of the flu they missed the practical stuff.
How would you handle the situation? Delicately and diplomatically? A chance to convince them your fetish is normal? Run and find someone more educated?

  • I've been with two virgins, and while they lacked experience, they weren't ignorant of the basics, nor did they lack in enthusiasm. But I've been with a girl who'd had sex a couple of times before me, but barely knew anything and just let the guys do what they wanted. I literally had to teach her everything - but I'm good at teaching in general and I didn't mind, and she was willing to learn - she was just really embarrassed at her ignorance and had been sheltered at home.

    In business, I've often found that hiring someone with no experience but a good attitude and willingness to learn, and training them the right way from the start, is far more likely to result in better workers than hiring experienced people who learned bad habits and shortcuts and aren't willing to change. Much the same way, teaching a girl about sex (or, say, BDSM) can be very rewarding, because I get a chance to do it right, which results in a better experience for both of us. Yes, it's more work in the beginning, but it also builds trust and communication and it pays off well in the long run (the majority of the time, anyway).

    I would tell them all I know, and yes I feel I know a good amount even tho I haven't done it.

  • Talk about the basic stuff at some point: Sex between man and woman leads to pregancy without protection, STDs are a thing, etc.
    And the rest I would teach my partner in bed, simple lol.
