Why is prostitution illegal if porn is legal?

Prostitution is paying someone to have sex with you but, if you involve a camera, it becomes porn and that prostitute is suddenly a porn actress and so now everything is legal. Really, what's the difference between a porn actress and a prostitute in the end? They are both paid to have sex.

I'm not saying that to belittle any of these professions, but I don't understand the logic that separates prostitutes from porn actresses/actors.

Well, porn stars are performers. They are paid for the shows. There are processes of casting and stuff like normal film production, acting and faking to please the audiences. Sometimes it's more about techniques and angles. Not always real. (I just watched a documentary about porn industry. This is all I know. Haha) Basically, it's limited to certain people who are capable of.

For prostitution, I think if they're legalized, the mass of people would engage more, and it's hard to keep them on track. Even if it's not legal here, there are cases and cases of human trafficking already. I doubt women would not pay attention to studying and achieve anything for a bright future anymore because it's fine to sell the body. Quick money. No one would say it's a bad thing, so who cares. That's what we're afraid of.

Well, not every porn worries so much about quality, like amateur porn yet it still counts as porn. Besides, wouldn't legalizing prostitution allow for more control and, therefore, reduce human trafficking while potentially improving the working conditions? Furthermore, many women are already selling their money through things like OnlyFans for example so, at this point, prostitution is just a small step up from that.

Umm... well, amateur porn, they're not paid, isn't it? And I think that not all of legalized prostitute will be willing to have their real names recoded anywhere, esp., online. Because I can't believe that people would like to destroy their own reputation that way. You don't need to go that far, hire a prostitute, film it and say it's porn. Nobody forces you to upload it, nobody forces you to give out name. Hell, you can even do a poor job at filming and it still counts as porn. Besides, if you're a human trafficker, you can still film porn with a victim and there would be no way to know it's human trafficking. So, in the end, is there an actual difference?

Well, in my opinion, prostitution should be legalized so that it can be regulated since prostitutes would actually be considered as workers and so victims of human trafficking would stick out in such a system, therefore reducing the human trafficking. I also think regulations could help a lot when it comes to STDs if you enforce a set of sanitary rules around prostitution sex like mandatory STD controls not older than X months to be able to partake in prostitution sex. It could make a big improvement in terms health. Since using the porn excuse is such an easy workaround, I don't see the point of the restriction anymore. Also, it might be a bit cynical, but it always leaves more ways to make money to people. My main reason for this is to make prostitution safer for everyone, but mostly safer for women because, let's be honest, it's the oldest job in the world and I don't think it's bound to disappear so might as well make it safer for those involved.

Hmmm... I try to see from a male perspective. I see how much pressure on young men about virginity and all that. Maybe, if I were a man, I would be frustrate a lot more. From what I have observed so far in my society that clearly we're well-known for prostitution, I see how it helps and at the same time destroys family units. Personally, I'm more than happy to tell a horny man who wants to cheat on his wife with me, or young ones wbo just want casual flings to go and find a hooker. I wouldn't want to be seen as a sex object, but then I am treating those ladies like so. They get benefits though I think there are also other aspects I haven't fathom.

I have never seen a prostitute with my own eyes in my own country, although I could have had the opportunity to but I heard a lot of them are more or less involved in human trafficking since I heard stories of prostitutes being dropped by vans (multiple of them) so I'm sure their situation must be far from the best. I think if it was legalized and therefore regulated, things could get much better for these poor women. I don't think the situation is as bad as in your countries as I heard a lot of stories about human trafficking in South-East Asia, but it's still a problem to some extent. Personally, I don't see any benefit for me in prostitution as I'm not the kind of guy who would use such services but I know there will always be clients and there will always be providers in that business so might as well make it safer

Prostitute isn't an actor and prostitute has sex with anyone. Prostitute is much less protected than a porn actor and also prostitutes don't bring that much income as porn actors/actresses do.

Yes but, in the end, they are still paid to have sex with a stranger (with anyone like you said). Not every porn necessarily have a bigger selection process than just choosing a prostitute.

Good questions but why only say actress when we all know that there is plenty of male porn stars. I always say this the only difference between a prostitute and a porn star is they are getting filmed. I would not call these people actors because they can barely act to save their lifes.
