I want a relationship with a woman, but don't desire sexual interaction?

Ever since high school I've questioned my sexuality. I know I'm demisexual (only sexually attracted when there's emotional attraction). I like men, but lately I've found myself fantasizing about a long term, non-sexual relationship with a woman. I get mini crushes but most of the girls are straight anyways so I've never had an experience with one.

I like being dominant (not in a kinky way). For example when I've dated guys I like to pay for their meals, open doors for them (when they don't race to open it for me) and be the big spoon unless I want to feel his package on my backside.

Is it possible to be sexually attracted to only men but more romantically attracted to women?

Superb Opinion

  • Yeah i think so, i dated (and am with) bi girls and talking to them they are all different in how they feel. Like one just likes sex with women, but feels a connection with men (so reverse of you), but i known others who just love sex with any one.

I for example have never really had any male friends, i always preferred the company of women, not in a sexual way, but i find my self more at ease and able to be me.. in fact i dont have sex very often, but it doesn't mean there is anything wrong... We are all different!

  • Yep, sexuality is a spectrum where everything Is possible including what you wish
That being said, the woman you would be dating should be fine with having a purely emotional relationship and letting you have sex with guys
The only hard part would be finding the right girl but this is definitely doable

    • I was raised in a veeery Christian home, so maybe that has an effect on my hesitation. I wouldn't need to have sex with anyone else if I'm in a relationship with a woman. I think my problem is I just haven't had sexual experience with women yet

    • Then go ahead and see if that's something for you, it might be the best option you have rn

  • To me, a long term non-sexual relationship sounds more like a friendship.

  • This level of confusion is astounding.
I would recommend a shrink. You have some real mental issues to work out.

  • Let it go just date men only

  • Sure, many people who cheat with someone of the same gender do it because that person gives them an emotional connection they lack with their current partner, although the sexual component of their life remains monogamous.

    • I don't cheat. I like having one partner so wether I try sexual activity with a woman or not I'd be faithful to her

    • I wasn't saying you would or should, just that some people who do cheat only do it for emotional reasons without sex.

  • Ye it's possible and you should try it
