yes, when my girlfriend and I have a bondage night I am the sub. She will usually get me secured in whatever restraints she wants to use (sometimes spread-eagle on the bed or some kind of rope tie on the floor) and then I have to wait until she is ready so she might take a shower, watch some tv, have a glass of wine, do some uni work or whatever else she wants to do. So yes that often means she's in another room until she's ready and in the mood to play.
