What do you think of a girl/young woman who only has interest in older (15+ years) men than her?

I've well-traveled & educated and... no offense... I find a lot of guys closer to my age sort of well boring. They want to go clubbing for example while I'd rather read or catch a show (the place here has a theatre, as in actual live acting not movies).

I don't have any "daddy" issues (my dad's been here my entire life & a decent man). I don't need an older guy for money (I've a job that makes $25/hr & investments). I'm just listing those two as that's the common argument against such.

  • Maybe it's sort of a location thing if you can't find worldly people closer to your own age. That said, on the main question, "whatever" to me. But it might be cool to find an area where more people have traveled, experienced the world, into the culture, things like that -- whatever you're into -- so you can have plenty of friends and not just an SO with whom you can relate.

    • I tried living in the most rural area one time. I thought it a big break from places like Burbank, Tokyo, Hong Kong. Then I found myself making friends with much older people -- people who traveled -- people with ambitions, people from other places visiting our little area. My best friends were all 10-20 years older. It was because all the young people there just had small dreams. They stay in this little world, and there's a charm to that but it gets old to me after a couple of years. I moved back to the city after that. Then I found more people my own age once more with whom I could relate most.

    • Oh I've lived in big, small & medium sized places. Here's middle grounds. There's enough people my age. And we're just an hour away from a 2+ million city.

    • I think you gotta find your crowd either way. Maybe you are looking for relatability too much in an SO and not just a crowd... naturally your SO should be so relatable, but it's good to have a group... a "community", if you will.

  • I THINK the choice is up to you ,, you have your reasons and if you can find happiness at no matter what the age is then your doing better than most ,, by the way can you dance

  • Nothing wrong with that. It's just her preference. I like older men too.
