Why do some people assume a guy must be gay if he says he does not find a certain woman attractive?

Superb Opinion

  • It’s a defense mechanism by girls. They go out and buy new clothes, shoes, makeup, get their hair done, get their fingernails done, get their eye brows done, push up their boobs, wear fake eye lashes, wear fake eye colors, dye their hair color, wear fake nails, get fake boobs, get liposuction, get plastic surgery, get fake ass cheeks, botox their face, wear spanx to hide their gut, wear shiny metals and gem stones to try to catch people’s eye, use scented hair conditioners, spray perfume and body fragrances on themselves, whiten their teeth, get braces, get their toe nails done, wear high heels to squish their ass up, use 21 million filters, etc. to try to fool and persuade men into thinking they are attractive, but at the end of the day for all their effort and no matter how big their ego most of them are just average. So they get pissed off when they spend all their money and time doing something and guys are like mehhh she’s not attractive.

Most Helpful Guy

  • It's like kind of a way to make them feel insecure or make them feel bad bc they dont have the same preference as you

Most Helpful Girl

  • People just need to understand that everyone has different tastes. Some people like blondes, some like redheads. Some like a tall partner, some like a short partner. It just what they prefer. Just because one girl isn't that pretty, doesn't mean they don't look at a different girl and gush about how pretty they are! It definitely doesn't mean they are gay (even though there is no problem with that!).

What Girls & Guys Said

  • Because people with very fragile egos get triggered by others with different opinions, so they lash out.

  • It's a joke.

  • They don’t. Calling someone gay in that context is meant as an insult.

  • Double Standard and sexism

  • It's just a shaming tactic. All sorts of people may be attractive or not to all sorts of people.

  • Stupidity might be contagious

  • It's propaganda, plain and simple. As an example, I do not think that Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande, or any other of today's celebrities is particularly attractive. And I know that I am not gay.

  • Women will shame men for anything we say or do that they don’t like.
