  • Most of the time no. If all a guy is interested in a girl for is sex he'll probably want to sleep with her once (maybe two or three times if she's down). Eventually he'll get bored and move on. For a guy to want a committed relationship with a girl he's going to have to want to be with her for more than just sex and attracted to her for more than just her looks. I'm assuming that if you're someone's "girlfriend" there's some level of commitment in the relationship beyond just sex. If that's the case then no, there are many other reasons why he'd want a girlfriend (although understand that he's going to want that too). However, if there's little to no commitment involved than that's a completely plausible reason why a guy would want a girlfriend.

  • That's always going to be a factor, but many of us want far more than just that. For me, I want someone I can share my life with, and share experiences with and make memories with. I've had some of the best times in my life with girlfriends, whether it was just a road trip somewhere, or hiking in Yosemite, or going to Disneyland, or to concerts, or even staying at home playing Rock Band, or cooking together.

    It's usually not very difficult to tell what a guy's motivation is. I mean, sex is virtually always on that list, sure, but is there anything ELSE on the list? With some guys, the answer is obviously yes, and with some, the answer is obviously no. Choose accordingly.
