Everyone here is missing the point. God is Love - is the main message emphasized in the Bible. People become so warped in the idea of God’s “awesomeness” and “power” and “almightyness” and “greatness”, that they seem to forget what is most fundamental and important about him. I don’t care how powerful or almighty you are. If you do not possess love, it’s meaningless. All that power would just be for self satisfaction. (Which is basically what Satan is).

All I'm saying is that science has made me appreciate the intricacies of life, and matter in general. Gravity is nuts, microbiomes in the ocean are insane, time is an interesting construct of human perception and based on the orbit of an electron around the nucleus of an atom rather than our inconsistent orbit of the sun...   @hknmhmn4 Why not? People were fairly stupid (by today's standards) 2000 years ago, when much of Christianity was conceived as a concept among men. Mankind has been around for 48,000 years before that, and was vastly dumber in the sense of thought and invention. The bible was re-written by man, 3 times over that I'm aware of. Those aren't words of God, they are words of man. Seeing how often history is written by biased people and revised by modern standards, there's no way any of it is relevant today. We didn't even know the truths about Columbus and other atrocities of "heroes" until the internet and true historians were united. I've searched for truth throughout my life, and religion ain't it.

At least there's some evidence to support the big bang theory, and even with that evidence scientific standards still require it to remain a theory until it can be fully proven. There's no literal evidence that religion has any factual basis, so it's Occam's Razor on that subject.

  @Cryptic-Game In the world of science, there's theories, and it's really important how they work because they ultimately decide what is supportable fact and what is unsupportable facts, and how they apply to conclusions. A scientific theory, while some may even seem obvious, is still considered theory- not fact. Intelligent design is a conclusion, supported only by certain facts, while other variables have no facts available or inconclusive ones, so in the world of science, it would stay in the theory state because there's not enough supportable facts to draw a supportable conclusion. In the world of politics and religion, facts are so dependent on other facts, dependent on other facts, it becomes too convoluted and the vast majority of conclusions are either false or failed to factor in missed pieces of the puzzle. That's how we ended up creating words like "Truthiness", it's madness.
