Why are Asian fetishes a thing?

I'm Asian American and I always encounter guys who very much fetishize Asians and make it very clear. I personally think there's a difference between having a full on fetish for a race and just preferring a certain look. Maybe I'm wrong but that's just my experience. I just really wonder why fetishes for Asians and racial groups in general is so big. What to people find so captivating about certain groups that it can be considered a fetish? I kinda find it dehumanizing and degrading.

First, it depends on what your definition of “fetish“ is. I think “fetish” is not the right word, doesn’t apply to what you’re mentioning.

“Fetish” per webmd. com is “sexual excitement in response to an object or body part that’s not typically sexual, such as shoes or feet.”

“Fetish” per urbandictionary. com is “a sexual desire for something. Usually it becomes an unhealthy obsession.”

For example, most men have a preference & sexual desire for women, but I wouldn’t say that men have a “fetish” for women, just because they prefer women over men.

Yeah I'm not talking about men having a fetish for women. I'm talking about people in general having a fetish for another person's race. I, being Asian, have come across a lot of guys with Asian fetishes

What I’m saying is that having a fondness for an Asian “exotic” facial look or smaller body type typical of many (but not all) Asian women is not a fetish, it’s just a preference.

Yeah I definitely think there's a difference between preference and fetish. If someone is drawn to smaller eyes, petite bodies, etc it's only inevitable that their preferences will lead them to finding Asian women attractive. I'm talking about the guys who are drawn to Asian women because of stereotypes and whatever porn has shown them. Just from experience I think there's a difference between the guys who have told me "yeah I don't know I just find myself attracted to Asian features" and guys who have told me "oh I already know you're a freak in bed and super tight, you know how I know? Because you're Asian duh!" (These are actual quote by the way). Maybe fetish is the wrong word, so I guess I'll describe it as guys who go after Asian women to fulfill some sorta sexual fantasy and/or because of racial stereotypes.

Well, anyone that “buys into” stereotypes—believing that all people of a race, gender, etc are exactly alike in a certain way or ways—is just a disrespectful imbecile.

People build up sex too much and so they take their preferences to the extreme. Personally I have found that most Asian women have really beautiful faces. Which is why I prefer them to others; but I don't take that desire beyond "Hey, would you like to go out with me?" Anyone that would fetishize you for your appearance isn't worth dating; as they are narcissistic and selfish. Whereas love is a selfless emotion.

I think people fetishize Asian women because there are a lot of stereotypes about them like that they're more submissive and have tighter vaginas than other races. Personally, I prefer Asian women because I'm attracted to girls who are between 5'0 and 5'4 with small waists, medium sized butts, small to medium sized boobs, and long brown hair. Obviously you don't have to be Asian to have those attributes but I've noticed that the majority of girls I'm really attracted to are Asian

A lot of white guys just like how petite and feminine Asian women are perceived to be. As a white guy who has never even had the opportunity to date a white woman (I've exclusively dated Indians; those are the only women who have expressed interest in me), I can tell you that I have gotten tired of the arrogance I've encountered in white women.

Because Asian women seem to be cuter, petite, more polite and less demanding. Easier to get along with. More interesting. Hotter.
So I can see why there is a "thing" about Asian women.
Be happy. It's certainly not meant to be degrading.

What can I say, Asian women are just my type.
I love their eyes, dark hair, skin tone, cute features and femininity.
Just because I melt when I see them doesn't mean that I would treat them as "Just another sexy Asian woman" if we got into a relationship.
I would love her completely.
I think it's just a bonus that I also adore her physically.

It is more a look then a race for guys that like Asians

Just like any kind of women, some women guys find unattractive, but some general things about some women guys find attractive.

The Asian fetish is becasue some guys like some features the girls have, but not all
