Is risky sex the best? Scared to get caught , forbidden fruit?

If you ever cheated on your significant other, was the sex better than your girlfriend/boyfriend or spouse?

The reason I ask is my wife cheated on me over 18 years ago before we were married back when we were in college. We have been married for 15 years and have 4 kids and marriage has been great.

We went to 2 different universities about 30 minutes away. I played football/basketball on a athletic scholarship, which means I travel a lot and our relationship was up and down. She confessed 12 years ago in which She admitted to having sex with the guy 1 time then said it was a few times as she liked him as he was showing her attention/affection. She knew during this time it was wrong but liked the attention and the excitement. She mention I was always gone and distant.

She checked all the boxes, it was not good, sex only last a couple of minutes, he was small, very fast humping. Honestly I don’t believe any of this.

We we’re watching a movie together and a couple was having sex in a public bathroom. She made the comment “Risky sex is the best sex.” Which made me think about her Cheating back in college. But then again we had sex in risky situations and places.

All this leads to my initial question above. Please share your experience or thoughts.

I don't think it's better than sex when you first fall in love.
It's probably better than the sex you have after you've been together for many years and she starts to crave someone new.
The excitement of someone new combined with the naughty factor of sneaking around and getting what she wants is powerful.
She gets extra attention, more sex and possibly payback for anything you ever did.
Some cheating women love it.
It's like they're in their element.
It's scary unless you choose to accept it and adapt.

I mean guys definitely cheat and enjoy the sex, but I'm not sure about the psychological side of it. I only say that because I haven't really cheated ever, I've just been cheated on and I've been involved with cheating women. I've observed women's behaviour from both sides of it. I think some guys get off on cheating, I've seen Players in action before. Sometimes I think players are guys that were fucked over by women to the point where they become wolves in sheep's clothing. They secretly know how women are so they just play with them, retain control and avoid attachment. I guess it's also fun for guys to be wanted and to feel the thrill of fucking multiple women and getting away with it. That or their wives are horrible to live with, but have kids and assets together so divorce is risky. Maybe they find love and sex elseware? There's various motivations.

Risk does add excitement to the mix. I had an affair with someone’s boyfriend. The thrill of sneaking around and maybe getting caught made it really hot for us both. Plus, there was another risk involved. We were having unprotected sex and him pulling out was the only precaution we were taking. So yeah, it was really good.

Definitely. Some of my favourite sex is cheating on my partner with hookers. So many taboos its such a thrill
