Incestuous relationships can ear families apart. Step-sibling relationships are legal in most of the US (except Virginia) but what happens if your relationship with your step-sister goes sour, or perhaps even bitter. How do you handle appearances at family gatherings, parties, dinners, holidays, weddings, graduations, etc? If you two can't stand to be around each other, you create those problems for everyone around you. So, it's legal, and you can do it, but is it worth that risk? If you think such things can't happen, you are in denial and thinking with the wrong head.
