Help can I use Ice bags for sore nipples?

Question

My nipples are very sore because my husband sucked them roughly. They’re red and I can't even touch them or wear my t-shirt properly. Also I have to breastfeed my son but I seriously can't and he doesn't accept drinking from the bottle. This is killing me 💔

First: Tell him about this so he does not do this again. Use Vaseline intensive care lotion to soothe them and get the swelling down.
Second: If he wants to pleasure your nipples at non lactating times, have him watch how the baby did it (kneading and suckling) and emulate that.
Third: If he does it right, you will "let down" and lactate, wasting it, since your baby won't take bottle. So you have to step up and prohibit it until you have already given the baby its feeding. Your husband should be considerate enough to understand this.

Many soccer players lightly apply vaseline or other gel/cream on their nipples to prevent nipple rub/burn during 90+ minutes football match in hot summer, as its too warm to wear vests under their jerseys. The fabric in these jerseys causes friction and inflammation.

I know your scenario is different, but you could perhaps apply something before being intimate in future, that might reduce the friction.

Go to your Pharmacy and look in the baby section or mother section for a cream used for breastfeeding
You need a cream made out of Lanolin
I breastfed all my children
I ended breast feeding for 6 years straight
A Lanolin cream works wonders. Its amazing and helps with many different sores too.

Try some aloe vera or cocoa butter that's usually pretty good for sore/sensitive skin never used it on nipples though

I wouldn't recommend ice, at all! It can actually make your nipples more sore. Try heat instead. Whether it be a warm shower or taking a wet washcloth and microwave it for a few.

Let your son suck on your. nipples when he has too, then apply ice immediately afterwards. Tell hubby to knock it off for a while, lol.

You can but why he's doing that, sounds like you got two kids to look after unlucky. I've never known a baby's to not accept it I guess it's why allmost all don't breast feed and use a bottle.
