Can I have sex with someone and still be considered a virgin mentally?

I've had sex before a few times but I tell guys I'm a virgin because mentally I'm still a virgin.
I don't feel very comfortable with sex and sexual things. Physically I am a virgin of course but I don't feel I'm not one mentally.

  • Sounds like you were hurt earlier in life. Being a virgin is pretty cut and dry. Either you have been penetrated or not. BUT, I’ve taught girls how to enjoy sex. To them the first time they actually enjoyed sex was the defining moment they lost their virginity. To be honest though girls put too much emphasis on virginity. Because guys rarely care about anybody but themselves a girl will lose her virginity and it’s an awful experience. Usually just when a girl starts to feel something that remotely resembles pleasure the guy is finishing. And yet it doesn’t need to be that way. Sex is a wonderful thing especially for girls. The way a woman experiences sex is unique to females. A partner that understands that is never a boy your own age.
Whether you’re a virgin or not shouldn’t be the issue. What’s important is how you experience it and what it does to you mentally. Just because you love a guy won’t make it magical. The skill kindness and understanding of your partner will make it a beautiful encounter. That alone will shape the perception you have towards sexuality and physical enjoyment.

  • Virginity is a social construct so I wouldn’t worry too much about it ✌️

  • The word "virgin" means "untouched", "pure".

Usage e. g.: virgin forest to mean a forest that no one "touched" or "entered". But when some loggers cut a tree, its no longer a "virgin" forest.

In similar vein, its not how you feel, but by virtue your vagina had been penetrated, you were "touched" thus no longer a virgin, nothing to do with your mental state.

Final example: a girl was raped at childhood. Hey hymen was examined and broken tbus confirming a forced penetration.

Its unfortunate but she lost her virginity as a child.

  • You not a virgin, you are liar, you not a virgin not physically and not mentally. Being a virgin only mentally is a girl who had hymen broken by something other than a cock, not your case.
