I do think they are. I've been into femdom for around 7 years now and I've never really met a real sub. Many are fake or just "curious men looking for some thrilling adventures", sometimes you don't even understand why they were even trying it to begin with...
Men have been educated to consider women as subservient. They can't really change that. See how common it is for these "sub men" to go to dominatrix (prostitutes specialized in femdom)? Most of these women aren't even dominant. They just do it for money. Anyway, how is paying a woman to get exactly what YOU want submissive? Come on! This is a big joke.
I guess this is why many actual dominas end up with sub women or just get out of the femdom lifestyle. So yes, most "dominant women" tend to be switch/sub women (switching on their SO request) or professionals.

Just theorizing and rambling a bit here based on my own thought process. I wouldn't call myself a submissive but I enjoy the feeling when it's induced. I don't think many, if any of us, are truly submissive regardless of gender. It's too dangerous.

I think it just turns us on to imagine someone else having their way with us as long as our limits are understood and respected. It helps when another person's pleasure is highly arousing to us. I definitely get turned on giving oral. Anyhow, violate someone's respect or ignore those limits and I think the submissive spell is quickly broken. Hostility is the result.

Other thoughts: Why do I not feel "submissive" urges with women I'm not attracted to? Why are those urges stronger with women I'm highly attracted to? I fantasize about women r*ping me too. Would I enjoy real rape? I doubt it, especially if it was someone I wasn't attracted to.

I see this is an old post.
I think it depends on the guy you meet. So firstly a guy will have requests, it's a sexual and life style approach. If his not happy the whole idea falls apart. So going to a prostitutes will just be the 2 hour session to get ride of that "feeling". But as for the relationships, well, as a femdom you really should know the techniques to control your man and train him properly. The problem comes to a fine balance of play vs real life. I believe that a lot of men that portray themselves as submissive and seek out a femdom type, are actually submissive, however I don't believe that they are all that way and I don't believe that most are even truly submissive to the extent that most women who are actually dominant want them to be.
