I do not know if I am overreacting. But have spent all day with my best friend and a guy she's dating. We have been joking and having fun all day. Towards evening we also had a few beers (not the guy) it was late so I said they could sleep on the couch, but that they are not allowed to have sex on the Couch, but shortly after I have gone to bed I hear moans from the living room and get irritated over it. My best friend promised that they wouldn’t have sex, but yet they did.

No. You have the right to YOUR boundaries. If you act like a doormat you will be treated like one. There need to be consequence for her breaking your house rules. Like zero sleep overs with dudes for a long time.


Also she has shown you her true character now. Don’t trust her. It’s likely she will break trust over other things too.

nope. they were being very disrespectful. it may seem petty but it's not. it shows at least she can not be trusted at her word. if he heard the convo about "not on the couch" and did it anyways, then he too broke your trust. often anyone who breaks trust like that does other dishonest things around you (like lie about other things or even stealing from you). it puts the entire friendship in jeapordy.

Maybe it's just me, but then I feel that my friend does not respect me, because she said they will not do anything. Not even I have had sex on the couch, it is brand new and does not want to lie and listen to their moans
