  • Feel free to be nude at home, but exposing yourself in a public environment where others haven't consented to being made an accessory in your behavior is a crime and should remain a crime, as it is a form of sexual violence.

  • I agree but we shouldn't be nude in front of others that don't want to us to be

  • I personally have no problem with nudity, but in a social sense, we as a society have agreed upon having boundaries - and often those boundaries have very real and relevant reasons behind them, such as cleanliness and sanitation.

So, it comes down to: there's a time and a place for nudity, and a time and a place where nudity is inappropriate. We all know where society places the dividing line, and most of us know that there are places in the world where the dividing line is in a different place then what is typical, in order to accommodate those who have different desires and perspectives. We have designated nude beaches, nude cruises, nude resorts, and so on, so there are outlets for people who have non-mainstream views on the subject, and I think that is great.

I think that people should respect society's rules by not intentionally being offensive in mainstream places, and I think mainstream people should respect the rules by not intentionally seeking out nude-friendly places and themselves being offensive. The world is a big enough place that you don't need 100% of it to believe as you do, no matter what those beliefs are.

  • Nudity is absolutely normal, and it's prohibition in most of the world is my biggest pet peeve.
Visit just about any U. S. community and you'll find taxpayer-paid facilities devoted to numerous special interest groups: Team Sports, Rec-Plexes, Parks, Dog Parks, etc.
I don't use any of those facilities.
Shouldn't there be at least one park in a community where people can go to be nude? Or to be able to swim in your own backyard pool in the nude? There is a difference between nudity and lewd behavior. It's now time for the world to understand and accept that difference.
But people freak out at the mere mention of nudity when someone else is around to hear what their response is to the subject.
My guess is that a majority of people secretly are in favor of being able to be nude in appropriate places, but they're so afraid of being judged by other people who also probably secretly desire the same thing, that everyone is afraid to speak up. It seems as if everyone is afraid that a Puritan will pop up out of nowhere and put them in stocks.
My informal private polls over the years with people from all walks of life have indicated to me that people are either in favor of nudity, or that they don't really care one way or the other. I've talked to one person, I repeat, one person, who was initially a bit shocked when I said that I'd like to be nude all the time in appropriate settings. When I explained that I was talking about my backyard pool or a community nudist park, not going to the grocery store in the nude, or being nude in other inappropriate settings, that person very quickly got past their deeply ingrained Puritan shock and said, "Yeah, sure, why not?"
So that's what I say, "Why not?"
So, people, please, let's quit being afraid of thinking that everyone else doesn't feel the same way about nudity as you do.
I know there will be some naysayers in response to this post, but please remember that I am talking about appropriate settings. From what I've learned, the societies in Germany and Spain have had great success with their public nudity laws, with great cooperation between those who choose to be nude and those who don't.

  • I'm "sort of" a nudist by my own standards. I totally enjoy nudism but I'd never push my lifestyle on someone else.

  • Yes, you should not be ashamed of your naked body.
However, you should not be running around out in public naked or half naked or showing a little of this and that... people don't like that.

I am a nudist and go to a nudist resort regularly, so I am used to seeing the naked body.

  • It's the human body we all have a general understanding of what is under the clothes. If you are comfortable with yourself let it all out if that is what you want noone should judge another person for that. However there are times that rocking the nude is not the best idea like when around children

  • Normal and nothing to be ashamed of if you don't look ugly while naked. For example, all those walking blobs of fat which look like Jabba the Hutt.

  • I'll say this. When a girls dress drops to the ground and a guy is in there what does she expect the guy to do?

Does he simply say don't worry about it, it's not a big deal, you can leave it off or does he sheild his eyes while she puts it back on?

Is shielding the eyes something girls want guys to do? Is that important? Is that shame or a sign of respect?

Does being covered give a girl privacy and control of her body or does it prevent her from just being open and free with it?
