Should I have sex with my best friend (a girl)?

I mean... She'd like to have sex with me too, of course. But I don't won't her to be my girlfriend and she doesn't wants me to be her boyfriend too, we already talked about this. I know it because she told it to me while she was drunk (DISCLAIMER: I never told or done anything that would have changed her feelings for me while she was drunk, I never even tried to do it. I didn't even asked her to told it to me) and also a friend of her told it to me too. Actually, I think there's nothing wrong in having sex with friends but, there's a problem: a good longtime friend of mine (boy) fell in love with her. He fell in love with her for years. I also know that she doesn't like him and she probably would never like him or she wouldn't never have sex with him. Now, ethically would immediately be spontaneous to say that I shouldn't do it, but also I think it isn't fair to stop our happiness and feelings for just 1 person. What do you think? Should I try to have sex with her? Or shouldn't I try? Or should I try to have it in secret?
Just do it.

  • Come on dude, if you're old enough to write an "essay" like your details, you should learn to take responsibility over your actions.

Before I write my Opinion, I like to mention, the past is the past. Never bring it into your current relationship.

And in my opinion, you're of legal age and you're both in love. Let not another stand in your way. And by the way, its a free world. Best man wins.

Also... hey... it just sex. Many people are like you two: just want a "no-frills" sexual relationship. Some call it friends with benefits, other just call ir Fuck Buddies.

Just be responsible. Be safe and safer; and know what to do should she become pregnant. That's all.

    • Thank you so much, this is so helpful. Thanks again.

    • But hey, if you're really under 18, then consider the "cost" of pregnancy. It happens. And I think abortion is NOT a good option. So take that into consideration. I was told by my dad... "if you make her pregnant, you must marry her". And I pass this statement to you.

    • Ok, I'll use a condom then. Thanks for the advice

  • No and Yes...

No, once you have sex, it will change your relationship. You will have crossed a line. If things don't go well she may leave you. If one of you loved it and the other did not, the one who loved it will feel like the other does not care anymore... resentment.

Yes, because it may open a door for you two. You may find you do love each other and it will work out in a good way. Starting as friends makes for the best relationship, as long as you are compatible in bed too. Sounds like you are pretty respectful.
    Good Luck.

    • So you didn't put in effort my good longtime friend, but ok thanks, that's a useful point

    • Welcome.
