If you can hide this from your daughter, much better, I think. Not because of her reaction in terms of how she feels about you, but more like following your footsteps. She sees you as a role model. I don't know what you think of it, maybe you actually still believe that was a good idea, but, in my opinion, if your daughter would be able to stay away from the industry, and even the hook-up culture in general, she'd be way better off.

You never know how someone will react but hopefully they will be understanding. I guess you are wondering for your owk sake? At some point it's probably best to be honest about it before she possibly finds out from someone else.
