Is there any sort of treatment for delayed ejaculation?

I have tried medication to help control my anxiety (Ones that do NOT affect libido), and it has helped me. However, I still experience a lack of buildup when I receive fellatio, or intercourse...

I can orgasm through intercourse, but it takes a LOT of energy, and I usually end up sore from straining myself a lot.

I asked my doctor about it, and I asked about psychotherapy. She has referred me to a therapist for this, and I hope that could help fix this,

It never used to be like this for me, since I remember getting handjobs, and being able to finish without too much of a problem. I think I should also mention that I have a minor physical condition, in which my body is making too much cholesterol (Both good and bad), and I have to resort to taking Viagra, to ensure that I can keep an erection, even though I have done without in the past.

Superb Opinion

  • The therapist will likely help if you're completely honest. It also might be worth an appointment with a good urologist.

  • Ask your Dr. about medicine vacations and how they could work for you

    • ? What are those?

    • They can help with delayed ejaculation. You can temporarily take half a dose of an SSRI for a day or two in order to allow for better sex. Talk to the Dr though

    • SSRI's affect your libido negatively, I am told.

  • Watch much porn? My money is on you do

    • Well, I used to, but then I found a woman, and became less depressed. Naturally, I have come off of it by quite a lot. I think I have watched it 4 times in the past 2-3 months :)

    • That’s your problem. Not cholesterol. At your age jerking too much and porn are the primary causes of your symptoms. Certain meds used to treat depression such as SSRI or SNRI class meds can cause problems. Diabetes and high BP are also major medical erection problems. If you can get an erection at all then you don’t need Viagra. If you aren’t taking those class meds and don’t have diabetes or high BP then it’s porn

    • Well, my blood pressure did raise to about 140/90 at one point. I do need it, because I have trouble with erections. You do not understand. My other half told me that it is absolutely necessary, because once it goes, it is GONE. You probably didn’t have the issue yourself to understand. I am blaming it on my past porn use, as well as my condition. No, bupropion doesn’t NOT affect libido. My total cholesterol levels were over 6, and my doctor said that could likely be playing a factor (Not entirely) in my ability to keep and erection. I have been laying off the porn, and it has helped, but that will only do so much. I have other mental issues going on, as my girlfriend had pointed out.

  • Could have a thyroid problem

    • I took a blood test for that. She said everything is OK.

    • Their are a lot of false negatives for just a blood test. Their are a lot of other tests to get. Took a long time and a lot of doctors before they found out I had hypothyroidism. I used to have to fuck for like two hours to cum.

    • Well, I will talk about it again sometime, once I get some psychotherapy, and see what happens there. If nothing changes, I will ask her about thyroid issues.
