well the basic idea is to help a guy control and/or maintain his sexual urges. because it seems to limit the ability to get a full erection.

This is only a concern for very long term 24/7 wear, even guys that do it long-term and hardcore level (months let's say) will just undergo some time before it awakes when getting pleasured.
