That demand is perfectly justified. I usually do not store any nudes and I would delete on my own the day we break up. Taking out the garbage, this is called.
Better to have a lawyer write a letter though and demand that he replies with a written statement that confirms the deletion. Might not be completely tight from a legal perspective, but she shock of getting such a letter is usually enough.

Neither rude nor offensive. But probably unreasonable. She willingly shared them. He enjoys seeing them. If he was the type to share them he either would have already or will now after you broke up. If he is a good guy, he has kept them private and will continue to do so.

I do not consider it to be rude. Those are pictures of her and it is her right to not have her picture where she does not want it. If she is my ex then I would have already deleted anything to have to do with her anyways so I do not have to deal with reminders of her ungrateful ass.
