Hm. Probably not, but this would be a "don't tell" fetish for most men, so I doubt that anybody can actually tell how common it is.
There is a porn niche for that, I have even come across videos featuring mainstream models doing that fetish, but you rarely find those on the big tubes.
This "lack of evidence" may however also be related to the fact that those videos probably violate most tube-hoster's TOS as well as some countries' laws. - So we cannot draw a conclusion from frequency in porn either.
If you do not know him very long and he is that upfront about it that would be a sign to be rather careful, namely because what is definitely *not normal* is to be open about such fetishes to a person you hardly know. There are of course regular, decent guys with weird fetishes - if a stranger asks such things during a casual encounter however, I would see that as a sign that he does not care a lot about social norms and such people can - potentially - be dangerous.
