Is your and your spouse's room strategically fsr from your children's room for the purpose of not hearing you have sex?

My parents always assigned bedrooms so that the little kids had the closest rooms to theirs, so that they could check on them at night if needed or the kids could come to them for help easily. They didn't want the two year old to sleep on the opposite side of the house from them, that scared them. We never overheard anything as kids.

Yes, that was a factor in how we assigned rooms after moving to a new house. Fortunately we had an extra bedroom so that we could use the one next to us as an office and not a kid's bedroom.

When I was a kid, my room was next to my parents' room. My bed was on the side of the room furthest away from theirs though. I never thought about it until now, but maybe there was a reason for that. I don't remember ever hearing anything.

as a kid I lived in a small house with my parents so my bedroom was right next to their bedroom. I heard them having sex a few times.

My kid is only 3 months. He still sleeps in our bedroom. His bedroom is upstairs and ours is downstairs. Not strategically chosen because our bedroom is next to the living room and bathroom. Sleeping downstairs is just something we prefer

My kids rooms are right next to mine. They're still very young so I dont think it matters if they over hear us having sex

Yeah sometimes. My kids straight up run around the house while we're doing it too. It's no biggie if kids overhear

We insulated the walls of our son's room when we renovated, not for sex noise, but for TV, conversation, kitchen noise, etc.

@matchrestore sounds like a great idea. I would love to do something like that just to stop the night time waking. Unfortunately I live in a rental 🙄 like for real just trying to keep my neighbors from hearing us have sex forget about the kids 😆
