Single ladies and gents: How do you cope with the lonely nights?

I've never really been in any long-term relationships.. just some quick dates or convos that never turned into the real thing. I have nights where I just feel so lonely. I have a few good friends and decent family/upbringing, but I just long for that special partner. It often either ends with a heavy dose of ZZquil or melatonin or it leads me down the spiral of feeling like I'll never find that person as a dark skin black young woman. I don't mean to bring race into it, but when you look at the stats, we're the last of the bunch to get picked. That's not really the point of the question though.

I guess in summary I ask all the single guys and gals on GAG, how do you deal with these ridiculously lonely nights? All I want is a warm cuddle... which is too much/personal to ask of a friend and not part of the arrangement of a friends with benefits.

Superb Opinion

  • I don't feel lonely because I enjoy my own company. You mentioned friends with benefits... if you've taken part in that, then your chances are even less.

  • It’s human nature to want to find love. As humans we crave human touch and attention from those we love. I’ve been single my whole life and at almost 27 I definitely have my nights I feel like that. Surround yourself with the people you love and enjoy them. 9/10 guys will do just about anything for sex so finding a guy that won’t want a friends with benefits situation will be harder yet not possible. Best wishes!

    P. S. I have a thing for black girls. There are more guys like me out there.

  • i like chatting with rando guys when i don't have a boyfriend. you'll have to send nudes at some point or they lose interest, but if i like the guy i don't mind

    • Well, that’s one way to do it. 👍

  • In some ways you can get very used to it, it becomes routine. But there are times that it's nice to break things up, however with the covid it's been more difficult. So just talking to people on places like this.

  • Masturbate or talk to hot online female friend

  • masturbation

  • I tend to spend time online, hopefully in the hopes of finding someone to chat to.
I would love to give someone a warm cuddle but nobody here to do it with.

  • You get used to it the longer it goes on. Yes there are still some nights that are worse than others, but you just push through it and try to focus on something else. It passes eventually lol.

  • Cry, masterbate, sleep, and repeat.
