Haha, I'll just try to cover it quickly. When I had asked to go to the sex store, football season was just beginning. So it wasn't theee Superbowl. This year, my schedule was very limited with family and a 65 to 70 hour work weeks while finishing graduate school. Left me virtually with no time. It was a year without sex and no romance.. I had communicated for months that I wanted more dates and sex. Finally, I had a break from work, so I took him on a date and the gesture was never reciprocated back. Even while on my family vacation to Spain, there was no romance, no sex; I hardly remember talking to him on that trip. At this point, I started to check out. I communicated less romance and more sex. Never happened, and I started up work again. Then I asked him to go to a sex shop, he said no because of the game. At this point, I was done being put second to his games, to his friends, on my family vacation... Just done... Months went by, and I asked for a divorce. He knew it was coming because I had mentioned it after Spain. He then wanted to go to the sex store and try couple counseling (that I has been proposing for over a year). For me, I had been fighting in this relationship for a year plus on my own, and I was done trying. I left. Again this has many facets and many were not explained here in the build up to my divorce. Just wanted to make it clear that it was something that was communicated over a length of time and wasn't a random hey let's go to the sex shop screw ur game.

Personally I don't enjoy watching sports like that... So it's an easy choice... And any romantic guru would say she's more worth it then a sport... And if agree...

But look at it the other way... What is more important to you? Your trip to the store that can be done at another time? Or his enjoyment?

It's a lot easier to move your shopping trip a day over them it is for him to try to get them to change the date of the Superbowl...

So yes... Its selfish for him to want to watch a show over going to a sex ship with you... But it's also selfish for you to want him to pick you over something he can only do at that specific moment...

My advice is just communicate more... If it's that important and makes him happy... Plan to go before or after his show... Like I said.. it's a lot easier for you to move your thing then it is from him to move his...
