Yes, long term side effects are giving in to an unhealthy social norm in your community that values virgins higher than non virgins. If you’re in a free country outside the reach of the culture as a main power you’d better use the occasion to break the chains.
I tried to but I still have traditional values. Like for instance my ex did not know if he could see a future with me, in my opinion if you can’t even see a future with someone then there’s not point of being together. Mind you seeing a future with a person doesn’t mean you’re 100% for sure wanna marry them. But then he wanted to move in together. And I don’t want to live with someone if one of us is unsure of the relationship. At least men from my culture are pretty straight forward. They don’t have same commitment issues as men in western cultures. And they understand not wasting someones time and love.

Cultural reasons. Most men in my culture wouldn’t marry a non-virgin. It’s fucked up but that’s how it is. I want to have the option of getting married and starting a family. And I’ve tried to date outside of my culture but it doesn’t work because I have more traditional values that are not common in most european countries. Americans have more similar values and culture to mine.
Sounds like you would be better off leaving. Don't fuck up your body to conform to someone else's ideals. That's just stupid. Especially when those ideals are based in blatant ignorance.

Apparently. I didn’t know either but a friend told me about it and I looked it up. From what I read it’s pretty quick and easy but you never know the side effects
