Girls, Does morning after pill work?

My period is normally a 28-29 day cycle and lasts 4-6 days, so on day 13th I had unprotected sex, I feel like ovulated a day before as my cervical mucus got dry and sticky after sex. I had the after morning pill the day after (over 24hrs) and I regretted it, now I need some advise ps the possibility of a pregnancy

I doubt I will be pregnant then, as I remember being little dry just before we had sex so the egg was probably gone :(

The morning after pill is supposed to work.

However I am confused by what sort advice you are looking for. You saud you regret taking the pill. So then you do want to be pregnant?

Then last sentence of the post is what I am not clearly understanding.

So let me ask.
When are you due for your period?
Are you late?
And do you or do you not want a child?
What advice do you really need right now?

  Have u had an experience like this? Where u have took it after 24hrs and it didn’t work? And is there anyway I can find out now?

  I was in a situation where I considered taking it and I saw my doctor for counseling... But in the end I didn't do it and now I have a 12 yr old But I can say is you can get blood work done. Blood tests can tell if you are pregnant about six to eight days after you ovulate. Or wait until you miss your period and take a pregnancy test that's your only options

  It won't hurt a baby. if an embryo has already embedded itself in the lining it does nothing to the embryo
  In fact I was reading more on it. It only works to prevent ovulation to begin with. If you already ovulated then you needed a prescription from your doctor which is why I went to the doctor to begin with. I knew I ovulated.
  Only way to prevent implantation after ovulation would be a medication that thins your lining
  
  It sounds like the medication over the counter does not do this

  I saw the discharge Egg white sticky discharge And a slight cramp to the hip and back I had been tracking my cycle for six months and keeping a temperature record but my relationship was complicated. I was actually trying to prevent pregnancy I wasn't happy with my boyfriend I wasn't planning on having a kid with him I just let him think I was keeping track because I wanted to have a kid so he wouldn't suspect I was planning on leaving him it was an abusive relationship. Day I went to leave he found out forced himself on me saying "I will knock you up so you will be stuck with me forever and you can never leave" he knew based in my calendar that I was fertile... Regardless I spoke with a doc weighed my options and decided to see what nature did.. Oh and I did leave that bastard and he has NEVER EVER seen my baby.

  Oh wow I’m glad u are out of that relationship, I have been with my boyfriend for 2 years I don’t mind having a baby I feel like I am ready but he is not , he has a court date and issue with police so he feels like he ain’t ready yet but I’m not sure if that is an exuse? I feel like I ovulated a day before as I had egg like discharge now it is thick what do u rekon?

  Time will tell start taking a daily vitamin you can also take two Flintstone vitamins with DHA included make sure you are eating healthy. No drug use alcohol or smoking And wait until the end of the month If it doesn't happen that's okay You do not need your boyfriend if you really want a child you can find a donor I love having the freedom of my child being all mine I have another child and it's nothing but chaos arguments court cases custody battles it's the worst not having him for every holiday having a father who yells at the kid makes him cry but I'm still stuck taking him to him because of the Court and then he's supposed to pay for half of everything medical wise and never does. I take care of all my child's needs but I still have to share my time with my ex So if this sexual encounter does not lead to pregnancy do not stress about it. at least you will have time to think about how your parenting situation would be and how would you feel if you had to do split custody.

  Yeah u meant courts as in he can go prison, I know he would be supportive if u was pregnant he wouldn’t say have an abortion but his just being cautious to avoid it, I would like to have a baby with him cuz our plans are to get married in the future

  No I didn't mean court as in him or jail. I'm not judging that. I do not know his story to make such a judgement. I literally meant for you and the child... if things go sour when it comes to parenting. No one wants to think about that. Sadly Though with divorce rate being so high it needs to be considered. We Hope it never happens. We do everything we can so it doesn't but a woman should always plan ahead. As mothers we must never leave any stone unturned. Planning or having a backup plan for both situations is the best route. A plan for living with our partner. And another plan incase something separates us. With my second child I had no intention of ever leaving his father. I loved him and was engaged but it went sour literally from one day to the next and in a snap of a finger I was left homeless with a toddler and a newborn. I only said to consider your future so you do not have to be blindside. I advise any woman facing motherhood to always be vigilant. Time is on your side. I only mentioned donor as a reminder not to loose hope. If you do not conceive or you cannot come to an agreement with your partner you still have options. Again only a backup plan. Not your main plan. Right now i am at a crossroad. I met the man if my dreams 6yrs ago but he couldn't have kids. At that time I wasn't sure I wanted another. We made an agreement if I felt I wanted another my man said I could with a donor. now I do want one if we are going to do it we would have to do it within the next year. Im thinking of my age

  Yeah ofcourse I understand, I feel like I am financially ready to have a baby but either way I can soon I just have to speak to him and as I am Muslim I need to be married before I have a baby, can I just ask what would be the odds of a pregnancy but having unprotected sex a day after ovulation?

  it takes around 6 hours for active sperm to reach the fallopian tubes. If the sperm is there when or shortly after an egg is released, you can quickly become pregnant in the day after ovulation. Getting pregnant after ovulation is possible, but is limited to the 12-24 hours after your egg has been released. The chances would probably be less than 40% For better chances the sperm has to be in the fallopian tube before the egg is released if the sperm were already in the fallopian tube before the egg is released the chances are rather high
