Why do people forget that Teens have sexual desires too?

Everything that has to do with sex is always rated 18+. But isn't this ridiculous? Each and every one of you had sexual desires and wanted to have sex whether they did it or not when they were between 13-17. So it is just very unrealistic to make sexual things 18+. Being sexually repressed as a teen always made me depressed and stressed.

  • The adults feel that from the ages of 13-18 you are not mentally and emotionally responsible enough to take responsibility for sexual feelings and as such that it is wrong for them to "allow" you to pursue them as you may wish to do. For an example what if a 13 year old girl fell in love with a guy in his 30's or 40's? It's better to tell them it's not appropriate and if the guy did acknowledge said feelings to say he's a deviant and lock him up or accuse him of "grooming" those feelings and convince her that she was being lied to and manipulated in order to feel that way, that those feelings were never real to begin with. (Almost like a type of "love shaming") and this is the way things will remain unless at some point in the future maybe your generation stands up and says kids can live to, we can live whoever we want to live and changes things... Though even if you tried due to the current societies brain washing by the time you are in a position to try to make that change you'll agree with them (since if you don't you're a creepy pedo and deserve to be locked in jail and then be out in a registry for your entire life letting people know how wrong you were for falling in love with someone that much younger then you). What can I say I have a friend that was arrested when an underaged girl told him she was 18 turns out she was 14 just well devopled... And now he's in the sex offenders registry despite her insisting that she loves him and it was she that approached him...

    • I totally get what you're saying and there is nothing wrong with any consensual sexual relationship between two puberscent humans. The only problem is the law that says this is illegal. And the law can change. If people call for it to change it will change, if all people protested against it the government wouldn't have a choice but to abolish these laws.

    • And that girl wasn't manipulated. She manipulated, she knew what she was doing and she willingly talked to that guy. She was 100% fully aware of what she was doing.

    • However the law says that as an adult it was his responsibility to make sure that what he was doing was legal and because she was not legal age and can not legally give her consent (Which is another reason why underage persons aren't legally allowed to be sexually active, can't legally give consent) he was breaking the law and responsible for everything that happened. Due to the Victim mentality that a lot of people have it's easy to convince people to say almost anything (add to it being told "If you don't testify against you can go to jail for sending him naked pictures under production and distribution of child pornography" it's very easy to get the girl to say "He made me" or "It was all his idea")

  • When kids that old can responsibly handle sex it would be different. But over a million teen girls ho get pregnant every year shows they can't. Many generations before us probably felt the same but they handled it. Today kids just can't seem to wait to jump into the sack and then wind up messed up in the head because that is soon all they think about instead of schooling for their future. They get pregnant and become unwed mothers and the guys wind up paying child support for 18 years and working at Walmart because they had to work to support their child and had no money, or time, to go to college.

    • Well, first of all, SEX doesn't have to mean penetration sex. Sex can mean a lot of things. Some of which are really harmless like sexting. Even that is outlawed. Is it risky though? Yes totally. But the problem with these laws is that it's actually legal for me to have sex with a minor like me. But it's illegal for me to have sex with an adult. The point is if both of us are willing to have sex, then the law should let us risk it. It's our choice. We are willing to risk it.

    • Yeah, your choice but who is going to suffer the backlash besides you? Are your parents going to have to help support you or the girl's parents support her? You bet because neither of you have the money to even buy diapers much less a place to live. And don't kid yourself, I have never known anyone to be happy without penetration for long. But like I said, people are in such a rush to get in the sack that common sense goes out the window with the virginity.

    • No, not necessarily. I just wanna sext, and maybe have some foot worship sessions because I'm into that

  • The only reason why stuff like this is +18 is because it's legal. There's certain things you can't sell to teenagers. You can't sell alcohol, cigarettes, vapes, porn, sex toys, etc. to teens. And if an adult does then they can get arrested for it. It's the same with adult activities too-can't involve minors in them. If you really do want to do this stuff though, then wait until when you're 18-21 years. old. You might even find out more of what you're interested in and would like to do too. I know you'd say it's too long of a wait but it really isn't. Not just that but you can also legally get adult stuff at those ages for yourself. Until then make sure you get a good sex education and from reliable sources (not porn). Knowledge goes a long way for sure.

    • Well, the point was that these laws are retarded. Yes it's dangerous to have sex as a teen, but it's dangerous to go hiking, it's dangerous to buy stocks, it's dangerous to drive a car, yet it's not illegal. If I am willing to take the risk then it's my business and if I screw up it's only my problem. Well, I've suffered for 4 years so I can suffer for 3 more years. It's just depressing.

    • I wouldn't say it's only your problem if you mess up. Only one of my older sisters had sex as a teen and her first time she got pregnant (she even did it a second time). While she did keep the kids she had, it affected all of us in the house. My parents had to take care of and watch them. Me and my closest older sister (not the same one with kids) had to watch them constantly too. I even had to give my gift money to her sometimes so she could buy diapers since she didn't save up enough. There's lots of things that we had to give up just because she had kids. Even when she was in her 20s my parents had to watch them. I didn't think it was fair sometimes because she wasn't living at home anymore during her 20s so it was her job to be mom.

    • Yes ok but having sex without condoms is moronic. With all due respect to your sister, it isn't about that she's a teen. So adults are also ignorant and the proof are abortion clinics. Even sexting is outlawed.

  • Dude... Nobody in the history of the human species has ever forgotten that.

    • Apparently people who make the law do

    • No, they simply acknowledge the fact that teenagers are good damn idiots unable to make logical decisions.

    • I would agree which is why more than a million teen girls get pregnant every year. They laugh and joke about having to take Sex Ed. classes when clearly they need them.

  • No one forgets that teens have sexual desires. All of us older people were once teens - believe it or not - and we remember. But if an older person discusses sex with a teen, others start calling us "perv." So, those discussions don't happen.

    • It shouldn't be. I want to have sexual conversations with adults. Willingly. Nobody is forcing me.

    • Yes, but on those topics, your consent doesn't mean anything.

    • That's the problem, basically what the law says is that even if I consent to something I didn't really consent. It's hypocritical. So according to the law even if I persuade an 18 yo girl, even if I rape an 18 yo girl it's her fault and never mine.

  • Well most of us are sexual way before the arbitrary 18 if you are in some countries (16 in more sensible places). I was never repressed and have enjoyed sexual pleasure from the natural time I developed all the normal desires.

  • Yes, EVERYONE KNOWS you all have the feelings!! DUH!! WE WERE ALL THERE, AT THAT TIME, FEELING THE SAME!
Now, though, you have more access to things, and sites like these, and some ask questions, posting their age as UNDER 18!!
Legally, I am not sure what I can say, so I try to avoid those questions, so I don't get in trouble, with just trying to help, but breaking some law I don't know!!
I assume that all follow the "HONOR CODE" and post as their true age!!

  • Not everything is 18 just pornography. But who ever cared about it.

    • The consent age is also 18.

  • It is a legality thing, 18 is age of consent. It has nothing to do with sexual desires.

    • And laws are created by humans, why do people here speak as if laws are something permanent. The consent age changed so many times in the last 2 decades

  • Sexual exploration and discovery is part of being a post-pubescent teen. But take your time. Advance slowly. Enjoy the richness.

  • They don't want teen pregnancy. More prone to pregnatize. As get older more cautious.

  • They don't forget. The law is there BECAUSE they know this

    • It doesn't make sense, the law says even if I am 100% aware and willing to have sex with an 18 yo girl SHE is a criminal. Even if I persuaded her into having sex with me or even slightly forced her SHE is a criminal

    • It does make sense, She should know better. You both should know better.

    • But if we both are willing to have sex and risk it, who's business is it to criminalize us? They literally legalized drugs but they didn't legalize this..

  • who forgets that?

    • The people who make movies and who make the law?

  • Why do some many forget that people's brains haven't developed their "executive decision cortex" until they are 25-26 years old?

  • I completely agree. I turned 19 yesterday and honestly all 18 movies are better when we watch before 18. They seem boring post 18 years

  • I seriously doubt anyone forgets that.

    • People who make laws? I've answered that question 10 times 😂

  • Age restrictions are there for a reason so you are old enough to understand the ramafacations, of your actions.

  • Society says sexual things must be 18+, as long as people won't have wex before marriage we will have an age limit for sexual content

  • Its about consent. Thats all

    • And laws can be debated. They're not immune to change. In fact the consent law changed soooooo many times.

    • Depending on where you live, maybe it has. And also what you consider "soooooo many"

    • Well, I'm not from the us but I assume most people here are. In the US it changed many times. In the 19th century it went from 10 to 12 and then 10 again and then 12 and in the early 1900s it remained 12 for a bit then 16 then whoever's smart idea it was to ignore human nature and make it 18. I just hope they won't appoint another idiot that will make it 21

  • For sure we all did... however if you direct that kind of shit at under 18 yr olds you start to get to a real grey area of the law that nobody wamts to try to explain away
