They are have you seen magic mike? Yes women tend to be more sexualized but men tend to be more romanticised.

Watch any rom com and men are these perfect people and are ready to give up everything for the lead lady.

In the same way sexualized women set to high of standards for men, over romaticised men set high standards for women.

On the why? Sex sales

Because most media creators are straight men. Men are hypersexualized in media created by gay men.

  @aieeazumui I agree but I think that might be cultural, BECAUSE women are so sexualized in media. In Ancient Greece, the male body was seen as more aesthetic

  I would like to put forth an argument i. e, that men tend to care more about physical-sexual attraction then women do. And thus the difference, also imart should be perceived from the artists eyes first. So, I do not agree the any artist to make different movies than they feel like making especially consciously, if it comes out naturally not a problem. Also, a solution to address the issue at hand could possibly be more female directors/writers, but then maybe they tend to not take up the role as proactively, even in the egalitarian societies, soo..

  I would agree to ur partial point, it wouldn't be surprising. Cause the thing seen in females on avg too is that they tend care more about thier physical looks and all, (that ofcourse can reduce with the increase in intelligence, and is commonly seen so but on avg they do ) as it would increase the odds of them finding a superior/better male cause that's what the initial or the more mammalian motivations are. All this just a part, as an individual but as on avg it might over power things so. It's sorta seen even in the non so controlled type of media the internet, majority of it just porn. I don't remember the numbers but it's crazy.. 🙂 Also, not to forget prostitution is one of the oldest if not the oldest trade known to us. Which ofcourse involved sexualization of women, by choice or not. And the famous wild west stories we know about, actually the most powerful/rich individuals there were women prostitutes, and in some ways ran their economy.. we had porn magazines in the Egyptian times.. 😁

  That's paints a very partial picture.. trust me human trafficking is real problem, just like always. And it has obviously been the lowest compared to our history but, ya. it is a traumatizing one and a huge problem for the individuals who suffer from it..

Female sexuality is more mental than visual, not that they don't like the look of a hot guy.

What sells to men is simply good looking women dressed in a sexually provocative way. For something sexual to sell to women there has to be some kind of story to it e. g. 50 Shades of Grey, 365 Days etc.

Because women are not visual and their sexual drive is narcissistic. A woman is excited by this how much a man is heated sexually by her body, she does not enjoy looking at a man's body itself.
