Why do guys think sex will make everything better whenever a girl is upset?

Who thinks that? That's just messed up!! Usually, at least the women I know, go to their best girlfriend, and talk.
But sometimes, some of my female friends have come to me, for whatever reason, and I NEVER even imagined sex, because she was crying!
Holding, calming, soothing, just being there was all I knew to do, and sometimes it seemed enough.
Is there something else I should be doing, that you can tell me? Please?

I don't think this is a common thought guys consciously think. But having said that, most people find sex very enjoyable and doesn't doing something enjoyable make you feel better? Sure it may not "solve" the problem, but it might get your mind off of it for a while. Which is what he is trying to do.

Well to be fair, in the rare occasions I'm that badly upset, my girlfriend knows that sex or takeout will make me better, even if temporary.

Because for most guys sex makes everything better whenever they are upset.
Many people cannot imagine that other ones are differently minded.
But usually men have sex to relieve stress and women have to have their stress relieved in order to be able to have sex.

I don’t know but I hate it, it’s impossible to have a conversation with a guy without them mentioning something sexual whether it be joking or not. It pisses me off.
