Why are some guys so horny?

I dont get how some guys can be so extremely horny. Like do you never get laid? If not freaking find someone and stop complaining about how your horny.

  • Many (not all) guys, particularly young guys, are going through bodily changes where they experience arousal at intermittent times of the day. This means, if they were not thinking about sex, their bodies ask them to entertain the thoughts.

    In my opinion, due to the extreme accessibility to pornography paired with attitudes of "boys will be boys", many boys in many ways feel entitled to expressing horniness and in general, an entitlement to sex. This encompasses, validation that wanting sex is normal, validation that their own needs of having sex are more important than say, other things like daily functions of living (chores), and validation that sex should be an experience centered around their own sexual fulfillment - bonus points for "Being the good guy" and getting their partner off.

    Expressing needs is important in a healthy relationship. However, expressing needs in the heighted context of "if you don't do this I suffer", changes that expression of a need into a demand. No one likes demands. Some boys over time, come to "repress" their expression of horniness and needs, but also still harbor attitudes which revolves around sex (As an act and experience) that does NOT extend to other needs partners may have around the act of sex, like connection, trust, pleasure without an endgoal.

  • Guys generally are never as physically horny as they claim to be. If you've ever heard the expression "eyes bigger than their stomach" applied to someone who prepares too much food for themselves because their mind exaggerates how hungry they are, it is the same thing with men and horniness. Indeed, even when our bodies aren't interested in sex our mind will still work hard getting us to think we need it just for the sake of our ego (hence why viagra exists).

It's not even 50/50 chance of the girl saying yes, so we wait. So it's pretty hard for guys to get some sex, hence leading to horny guys.
