I read somewhere that the average man gets 11 erections a day. Are y'all really living like that?

Gotta say, that's a new one. Knowing how penises get hard (because I have one), it doesn't take a whole lot of effort to produce an erection, but it does require some kind of physiological reaction. I don't have an erection by pure chance, without some kind of biological trigger. That simply does not happen.

I'd like to know how whatever study/article made such a claim measured this phenomenon. Besides the rote process of counting how many times a subject gets hard--which requisites the question of if someone else is counting or if this number is the result of self-reporting--there is also the problem of implicit bias: if a guy is in the position of being asked how many times he gets erect, of course he''s gonna say "a lot". More times = more virile, i. e. "I get 11 erections a day. Ladies, can your man do that?" Additionally, where was this study conducted, what was the sample size and under what conditions was this number taken? If you said "the average man doing porn gets 11 erections a day", I'd find that a curious-yet-probable piece of trivia. If his job is to have sex, then of course he's going to have a lot of erections, but... the average "average" man? As in--again, depending on where you are and who you ask--a man with a probably not very healthy lifestyle and median levels of stress? Press F to doubt.

If there counting sleep than I'm getting over 11 erections. The last girl I was attracted to, would set me off every time she got within 2 feet of me, I worked with her for 8+ hrs a shift. That time I was probably getting 18+ erections a day. She made a game of trying to give me boners, needless to say it made things awkward. Counting sleep, I get about 8+ mindless boners a day and 4+ from thoughts, (not all low brow thoughts, some are reactionary to things outside of my control). I do watch my thoughts, but I can control who shows up or what flashes before me.

Because it's physically true. Why would I lie I'm a realist. There are times when it happen that it can automatically alter the behavior, posture or direction of action at the time. So even though its welcomed it can come at the wrong time so grin and bare it and be smart about it. But like everything it's work. You dont do nothing, you don't get anything.

I think age has a lot to do with this at 16 I don't think my dick ever got soft 😂 but now at 35 unless some one gets me going more then once a day that would be the exception lol
