Assuming a fair trial and conviction (remember that accusations and allegations are NOT guilt, nor evidence of it): the same that a man would get. That won't be what happens, of course; our society just refuses to accept that women can be sexual predators, or that boys can be sexually victimized (by someone who doesn't have a penis). Yes, many of the boys were willing, even eager (they may not be legally able to consent to sex, but they have their own wills and desires), but the same is often true of the teenage girls who have sex with male teachers, too- that doesn't get them spared.
Our society has never quite been able to abandon the idea that woman having sex with a man has "given" him something, while a man having sex with a woman has "taken" something from her. If you want proof, take a look at the media coverage of female teacher-male student sex cases (or female teacher-female student cases, for that matter; it's not the gender of the student that matters) and see how the act itself is described: a "fling" an "affair" a "romp" (they really love that one, for some reason). See how often you hear it called "rape".
I've been making an informal study of this over the past several years, and have seen that exactly twice. Same case, different media outlets. Twice, in hundreds and hundreds of cases. What set that case apart (I don't know if it's gone to trial yet, so I'm not going to name names)? Well, it was fairly recent (last year, I think), but what I think was the driving factor was that the teacher in question wasn't conventionally attractive. Most of them usually are.
But what does it all matter to me, in the end? Not everyone in an inappropriate sexual relationship winds up horribly scarred, and other people's sexual history isn't about me; it's not my place to declare someone a traumatized victim. If he was willing, and she was willing, what's the harm? Well, even if you're unwilling to give young boys the same socio-legal protections you give young girls, consider this: More than 80% of the men in American prisons for rape were themselves rape victims, usually while children, and usually from women. Sure, they knew that it was against the law, and people always said that they didn't have the power to consent- but look what happened when it came out! Everyone congratulated them! Everyone always says that sex is a good thing, so why should it matter if the woman you're looking at now says no?

There is a double standard about Teacher/Student relationships.
- A girl is often forced by a male teacher into a sexual situation over her grades. Rarely, does she approach the teacher (like in porn vids) to get better grades, AND if she does, when they are caught, she goes into the "me 2" mode and claims he Forced her.
- A boy usually is excited that his sexy woman teacher is interested in him, he gets to have sex with a gorgeous woman, learns how to please a woman, and usually loses his V Card to her. She gets to train a young man in the joys of pleasing a woman CORRECTLY and has (usually) a willing partner.
The problem comes from them getting caught, often coz the Boy shoots his mouth off and tells his friends. The Woman gets arrested and gets a jail sentence, AND loses her job as a teacher, now and in the future.
So, if the Law were to ask the boys if they felt Molested, they would say NO (if their parents were not there pushing them to say YES).
**When I was a teenager, I had a mom ask me to babysit her teen son and she came right out and asked me if I would "be his girlfriend?". He had been doing homosexual stuff at 12-13yo and she wanted him not to. I ended up "being his girlfriend" at home and taught him that girls are WAY better than boys when you have urges and desires.
The mom told me it was between me and her, but she was NOT wanting a gay son, as his father had left her for another man.

its often assumed that female teachers get away with this but in the uk they are treated under the law just the same as a male teacher would be and infact will be just as likely to get jail time and/or end up on the sex offenders register

I believe in equality before the law. If they are going to lock up male teachers who have sex with their female students then in all equality they should lock up female teachers who have sex with their male students.
The same as for men. There is one however who I think received a slightly excessive sentence, at least compared to other people guilty of the same thing. I'm talking about Brittany Zamora from Arizona, somebody who is not popular at all. For some reason I just feel sorry for. She got 20 years and she won't have a chance to get out until she serves 18. I think that 12 to 15 years would have been adequate. Perhaps I feel sympathy for her because I myself I am considered a pedophile. I've never been in trouble but honestly I should have been.
