Indeed. To us guys, sex is simple and physical: poke in and thrust until ejaculation.

But to girls, sex first is a fantasy, like meeting a "prince" then a "first kiss", then the heavens open and angels sang and unicon appears from nowhere...

Ok... maybe more mature that that... like meetjng James Bond and enjoying a nice dinner and cocktail in a posh hotel LOL!

And bedroom actions is not mere "poke in and thrust" but a lot of gentle fondling, sweet melodies and kind words, and kissing from her lips anove to her lips below... LOL!

Hence the voting result is so misleading as both genders interpret sex so differently.

A simple conclusion: both think about sex (as in the desire to engage in it) just as frequently. But no, the "action" part of sex is totally different.

The female sex toy industry makes 14 BILLION a year. While porn only makes 4. Take into account the endless free shit women use to get off and the free porn... which cancel each other out... on top of the fact that women can basically pick and choose who and when they have sex... women are way worse than men.

My answer to the initial question is NO, boys think about sex more than girls do.
My answer to the 2nd question is YES, it's a myth. As girls grow into women, they'll be thinking about sex more often but not too often.

Depends on the girl I think. I think about sex and sexual things at least everyday. It could be the same things or different. But I don't think about how much the opposite sex thinks of it. To me we're all just people and we all have sexual desires that would like to be filled.
