For me, it’s a certain technique and you have to not come across as creepy or stare too long. I will check a girl out - boobs, butt and face but I do a quick glance and avoid prolonged eye contact. If they look back in a nice way, I return the gaze. If they give a mean look, I move on. If they are distracted and not looking, I might do a longer scan. I hate creeper guys so I try not to be one myself.

Uh, you don't, because "getting caught" doesn't exist-- there is nothing wrong with checking out/eyefucking a female. Applying the "avoid getting caught" mentality to something that isn't wrong implies that it is wrong or negative, when it isn't. I don't avoid "getting caught," because I don't need to, and no guy needs to.
