One slightly insecure (but not anonymous) opinion. Not scientific, but close.
First, your vagina is mostly a fixed length. Above your cervix, it is under 3 inches. Below it you are more roomy and expandable. Your vagina is elastic and does not take a permanent set. But it does become comfortable with the length you are receiving and, in my experience, takes a little time to reset to where anyone entering fills you up again. So If you are not in a sexual relationship and don't anticipate one soon, going longer is alright. Width is something else. Two things control "tightness". One is the general nature of the muscles around your vagina (the tube inside). While insertion felt new when you first started out, those muscles relaxed, but will never take permanent stretch except with traumatic child birth. Your vagina will just be more comfortable with a wider object like it is does for length but it can reset when that larger object is no longer entering you. The other thing is the circle of hymen remnants at the entrance of your vagina. These provide a guy a pleasant tightness sensation when he first enters. Going to a wider dildo will, in my opinion, permanently stretch the entrance out a little and some guys will be denied the snugness you have now. I would likely be one of those guys.
Since your vaj is elastic, you are not gonna permanently stretch yourself out.

Why would a bigger one obviously satisfy you more? Most guys will hit a woman's cervix during sex at some point despite being average sized, this is unpleasent for the woman. So why would bigger be better if average is average? Do what you want but if you need bigger then their might be something wrong with your vagina, either its bigger/looser then average or you simply don't understand your own body well enough to hit the spots that feel good with your average size one.
