Why would a guy pass up good guaranteed Sex?

Hey Guys!
So I have a Friend with benefits and he recently hit me up around 9 o'clock at night and said he wanted to come over for sex obviously and I was down because I could go for some myself. He told me he needed to use my shower around 11 and then he hit me up 10 minutes before he was supposed to show up and said he had told a friend that he had, he was going to go and hang out with him/her he didn't specify a gender and that he was canceling on me. So mind you he does have another chick he is smashing. Is it possible a dude would pass up sex for a friend? Or do you guys think he went to go have sex with another chick? I don't care either way but I was curious if this was a fuckboy move & that I'm dealing with a fuck boy? Or do you guys think he really went to see a friend?

Friends With Benefits  is a relationship with different goals and rules, but there are both. This one is not good for you and you should get out of it. 1. When you make or accept  the call,  you are obligated to follow through short of an emergency. This is no different than you would do with any close friend. Canceling in casual fashion violated that rule and disrespected your friendship. I say  one strike and you are out." 2.  So mind you he does have another chick he is smashing. In my world, a  Friends With Benefits  is an exclusive relationship for people that can't or don't want to sustain a dating relationship. If he is also down with someone else and, especially, if he defers to her, you are a  booty call  or side chick. This relationship is not in your interests and should end. You do not have his respect.

9pm? 11pm? Which is which?

But 9pm is late enough to "just" meet a friend, even if that friend is a guy.

Its probably a party of some kind and he well knew he has to smell clean and ready for action, hence the shower.

My Opinion is, he passed on you for the reason that there is non-sexual fun (like eating and drinking) to begin with, then sex or orgies to end his day with.

I'm quite absolute in this though because huys may passed on sex if he has other cares of life like career or stresses of life. and these happened early in the day, not after 9pm. Hence, there is something else smashing that day.

Lol all of the above! He could be meeting another girl. Could be meeting a friend. I've had bfs pass my nympho ass up so I'm sure a friends with benefits would do the same. Sex can get boring just hanging out is nice too. .

Let's be straight guys love sex and usually never turn down a sure thing. He may have had other options on the table, to hang out with a friend or even bang another chick. Putting it in real life terms... if my buddy wanted to go bar hopping and hang out for the night and my other option is to fuck you and then who knows. If I know you aren't going anywhere I'm gonna cancel on you. Hanging with a friend will be fun and doesn't always happen, having sex with my fuck buddy and chilling awkwardly is not gonna win out usually
