When I was younger and at risk of getting embarrassing boners in public, I would sometimes need to masturbate before going out just to keep my hormones under control.

Lately, I find that ejaculation drains my energy and would leave me feeling too lethargic on a date. Also, I find even if I shower afterwards, I think that recent sex is detectable in my pheromones - something I can't simply shower-away, and I don't want to go out smelling like a wanker. So I wouldn't masturbate less than 4 hours before going out so there's time to nap and shower between masturbation and my date.

There are questions I am not qualified to answer and this is one of them. To give my hypothesis and based on my integrity, maturity and responsibility I wouldn't because I would keep myself in tact. If you're that horny then just the mere sight of a beautiful stimulating woman can alter your overall impression to her and through body language if she's all that then you got your work cut out. I have dated some guys that masturbated before our date so they would not be horny, so they could enjoy the date and not worry about wanting to put the Moves on me.

I have often, esp if the guy I am going out with is a major hottie. Otherwise, I have to admit I have had to either take a change of undies or a pad with me to keep from soaking my undies.

I don't if I know that we are going to have sex. I have been told that I have been cheating by one of my X's because I am not up to it or have a small amount. I retorted "Don't you ever masturbate?" I got the cold shoulder because of that for a week. I don't know if she had thought that guys can only hold X amount. Its not like the Amazon river with a constant flow of massive amounts. I dont know if SHOULD would e the right word. there's pros and cons to it. Perhaps it should be left up to the individual vs an unwritten rule or guideline.. personally I've never done it, Have had lots of second dates and subsequent dates without sex on the first, or continuously hitting on her or turning the conversation to sex all the time. I'm more of an intellect, stimulating conversation and debate keep me focused on the topic rather than the needs in my pants.
