I shot one of those, with magazines, and it was Jamming HELL!! Out of 3 magazines, 30 rounds each, all jammed at least two times! POS!!!Same day, I fired an M240 in 7.62, and those are made by FN, Fabrique Nationale, the ones that made the FN-49, the FAL, and many other, QUALITY weapons!I put 100 rounds through that, and not one jam!!
@JackSmy FN designed and manufactures the SAW as well, but the SAW doesn't do great with magazines, especially if they have cracked feed lips (if you pull back on the end of the mag, it works a bit better) - they're really designed to work with belted ammo. The M240 design is actually a modification of the Browning BAR - FN essentially flipped the BAR receiver upside down and added a belt-feed mechanism to the original BAR action, but John Browning is the reason why the M240 is so reliable - the BAR was incredibly reliable to start with. If he'd designed the M249, you can bet it would run like a top too.
@MrOracle Thanks, for telling the others! I know about these, and my favs are all FN, Begium!! REAL ones, with their stamp, and not the aftermarket crap, from parts.I hear that the SAW was better with belts, but the one I shot, these guys didn't have a belt linking tool, for.223!
Then u might hv got fucked a lot after that
Really? Was it the Barrett.50? I’ve always wanted to shoot one! I used to have a friend that was in the Army and he said that gun is heavy and overrated.
