• the internet, social media, cell phones and dating apps/site opened a Pandora's box. where modern hook culture and causal sex are more common then long term relationships on average.
• majority of people who engage in hookup culture. tend to only care about their own sexual needs. so they have a harder time bonding to a partner later on in life.
• which is part of why many people are 30+ with no partner and/or children.
• 3rd and 4th wave of feminism also hurt the family unit. because many girls are not looking to find a life partner these days. until 30+ and they have either slept around with dozens of people. or have a stable career and income so they end up past their prim age of fertility.
• normalizing abortion to where any woman can get it for any reason. including using it as her first and only birth control option. reduces her need or desire to pair bond to a single partner.
• I understand that in extreme cases it might be needed. but not every case or as the only option to prevent pregnancy. plus the average tax payer ends up footing 80% or more of the bill every time a woman goes to a free/cheap clinic.

I tried dating men ; it’s not working out - I don’t date and this was after my husband. It’s all about sex/ now I’m conflicted about my sexuality because I’ve been hidden because of this society when it comes to dating. Online dating is garbage and it’s now a promiscuous circus.

I don’t have sex as I’m a Demisexual and haven’t had sex in over a year- last exclusive piece of a relationship was 5 years ago. I won’t be participating in this society of dating 🙂

I was a traditional woman until society went down hill / that included dates , men practicing chivalrous, and men respecting women/ my days and nights are single - enjoying the single life without the confusion of dating and uncertainty about relationships with men. Now I observe the garbage of what people perceive to be dating. I remember when men were asking where are the good women “ hidden “. Yes I’ve been hidden because traditional roles have been ignored; it’s about thot and sex culture.

men would do more in the past because that is what it often took. to get a good partner and regular sexual encounters. these days sex for many is so easily had with little or no real enough. so they stopped doing the other things.

This is why I’m still single - mot having sex ! So I guess the bad apples 🍎 made it hard for women who wanted those things in the past - like I said I don’t expect ; actually my last date was 10 years ago with a man - expecting me to court , buy women drinks - no , open doors etc ( I may have to go overseas because of the mentality of American men here ) I’m actually afraid if a man does anything for me there’s a possibility I’ll get raped especially in this climate

It's hard to say what it is. I personally think the reason why isn't just because of the media, but also societal pressure to have sex or sexual relations, especially when it comes to dating. This stuff doesn't stop even in adulthood (sadly).
